The Flash on the CW is the Best New TV Show of 2014

The best new TV show of 2014 is The Flash on the CW.  Actor Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen, a super smart 20 something who is a CSI detective on the police force.  He is zapped into a coma the night that the particle accelerator exploded, sending a massive shockwave through Central City.  As a result, rather ordinary people gained superpowers, depending on their circumstances when they were hit by the shockwave.  In the show, these people with superhuman powers are called "meta humans." Barry Allen is just learning how to control his powers, and faces new challenges when meta humans go rogue, using their superpowers for evil.  Throughout the first season, Barry Allen must face the fact that his secret love - Iris West - must never know that he is the Flash, because it could put her life in danger.

The Flash is a spectacular show on the CW, and is a perfect fit with The Arrow already in its weekday lineup. This is why Z. Love's Entertainment Blog has picked The Flash as the best new television show of 2014.

Watch the trailer below:

Stalker on CBS is the Worst New Television Show of 2014

The worst new TV show of 2014 was Stalker on CBS.  Many different television critics voted Stalker as the worst new TV show of 2014, on CBS.

Some critics say that it is simply isn't cool to glorify stalking women in a television show.  It is just plain creepy.

This show stars Dylan McDermott as the lead detective, along with Maggie Q.  But, critics say the script is "bland and boring," or just "uninteresting." They have gone as far as saying Stalker is just a "trashy" version of CSI, and that it was just a plain failure for CBS.

They were trying to compete with Fox's cult show, The Following, but Stalker never gained solid ground.  That is why it is the worst new television show of 2014.

If Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" Shoes Sold Out in Stores, Where Can I Buy Them?

Legend Blue Air Jordan 11
Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue"
The Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" shoes were officially released on December 20, 2014.  They are sold at Nike.com for $200.00 USD, but they are sold out on the Nike.com website.

Where can I buy Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" shoes?

This has left many Air Jordan aficionados asking, "Where can I buy these shoes?" This is a fair question to ask, but keep in mind the dangers of buying such a coveted item.

Dangers of Buying Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue":

  • You may be a target for shoe theft, or being mugged for your shoes.
  • You may get swindled into buying knock offs if you buy them online from fake sellers on eBay.
  • You could be buying from an untrusted seller if you Google the search phrase: Where can I buy Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue"

Air Jordan 11 Legend Blue at Nike.com store
Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" sold out at Nike.com

Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" are in High Demand - Where can I buy them?

Because of the short supply and high demand of the Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" shoes, they are selling on eBay, Amazon.com and Kixify from various people and vendors for an average price of $335.00 (not including the shipping fees).

This is because they are sold out from Nike.com and now individuals can price them much higher.

The release of these shoes were so anticipated that tickets were issued at participating retailers selling the Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue".  Instead of asking "Where can I buy them?" - perhaps you should also be informed that there are knock offs being sold under the premise that these are the Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" shoes, when they are in fact, not.  This is a real danger of buying shoes that have sold out in stores.

If you buy Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue" shoes, how can you be sure they are the real thing?

  1. Make sure the seller includes the receipt.
  2. Study the shoes on Nike.com, and make sure they look exactly like the real shoe

What is the ABC TV show Agent Carter about?

The ABC TV show Agent Carter is based in 1946, and U.S. troops are returning home from the war.  Agent Carter works for the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR).  Agent Carter is given secret missions by Howard Stark, while maintaining a cover of typical administrative work at a phone company.

The Walking Dead Season 5: Episode 5 "Self Help" Eugene Reveals a Big Secret

The character Eugene Porter, on the show The Walking Dead, is played by Josh McDermitt. In the episode "Self Help" he confesses two secrets to the group, but one of them is a game changer.

Eugene Shares his first Secret with Tara in Episode 5 of The Walking Dead

In the Season 5 Episode of The Walking Dead titled "Self Help" Eugene - the brilliant scientist that is going to save the world - reveals a little secret to Tara. She catches him watching Abraham and Rosita have sex, and they talk. Tara thanks Eugene for saving her life, and he ignores her in his socially awkward way. He then confides in her with his little secret of sabotaging the bus. Eugene confesses to putting crushed glass in the bus fuel line to stop the bus early on.

Tara responds by saying she will keep this a secret, as long as he gets it together and move forward from this. Eugene says that there is a lot of pressure on him to save the world. He is nervous that he has no value if he didn't have the secret to stopping the zombie apocalypse. Tara says: "Welcome to the Human Race, %$&#$%@"

Abraham then starts accusing Rosita of wanting to sit around and not continuing on with the mission.

The group finds a fire truck, and they about to roll out when the truck stops.  Abraham determines that there is dead body parts stuck on the air intake for the fire truck. Zombies suddenly start pouring out of a tire store. The group starts fighting them off.

The Character Eugene Starts to Pull his own Weight in The Walking Dead

Eugene takes the fire hose and starts spraying down all of the zombies, and takes them all out. This is a turn for the character Eugene. Up until this point, he has been helpless and doesn't pull his weight. Now, he is starting to prove his value to the group. Abraham is completely amused by Eugene hosing down the zombies. He said he's never seen such a thing in all of his life. He also is laughing at a note spray painted on the group saying: "We are inside, let them die." The people that were inside are the ones that died too, and Abraham is amused at the irony of it all. He then pulls zombie parts from the fire truck air intake.

The fire truck breaks down again, so the group walks down the highway until they smell a strong stench in the air.  They see a colossal horde of zombies, and the group turns back, except for Abraham.  He says the group needs to go through the zombies.

Eugene's Secret Confession that Changes Everything in "Self Help"

Abraham grabs Eugene and the group starts yelling at the group. In the midst of the shouting, Eugene reveals the biggest secret of all: He is not a scientist, and he doesn't know how to stop the zombie apocalypse. This stops the group dead in their tracks.

Abraham is angered and punches Eugene in the face, leaving him bloodied and lying on the road. Abraham's reason for going thus far has been Eugene's secret mission to get to Washington D.C. with the cure.

This changes everything on The Walking Dead. The group now has little hope that they can stop the zombie apocalypse.

Interstellar is a Confusing Space Movie with Plot Holes

Interstellar poster with Matthew McConaughey
Interstellar Movie Poster

Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway star in the sci-fi space thriller, Interstellar. Find out why this movie was entertaining, yet flawed and didn't make sense at certain places. The following may spoil the movie for you, so if you haven't seen it yet, this contains spoilers.

Plot Holes in the Confusing Space Movie Interstellar

There were a few big problems with the plot of the movie, Interstellar. At the end of the movie, the movie-goer is left scratching his head, saying "What?" rather than feeling that the movie was complete and made sense.

First Problem: Actor Voices Were Not Clear Enough

First of all, the movie opened with old people talking about something. Honestly, I can't remember what they were saying. Their voices were not clear, and they were talking about something.

I have really great hearing, and I was having trouble understanding the voices. I was also with a person that was having hearing difficulties, and she said she couldn't understand what they were saying. This is a problem. If you want the audience to know what is going on, have clear voices, and do voice-overs until you get it right.

If you want to thoroughly confuse the audience, start a movie with inaudible talking, and you might really get people scratching their heads.

Second Problem: Movie Started out Very Slow

I went into the movie expecting nothing. I thought it was a space movie, and the movie starts out on Earth on a farm. The movie did not seem to make a good transition to Matthew McConaughey (Cooper) finding NORAD because a ghost told him the coordinates.

The ghostly addition to the movie was odd. In the farmhouse, the ghost was communicating with Murph (the daughter), but she wasn't scared of it. I thought the ghost was the dead mother. We find out later in the movie that the ghost was Matthew McConaughey (Cooper) in space, which is weird.

Third Problem: The Ghost and How Did Matthew McConaughey Survive?

I'm still confused about how Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) survived the spaceship breaking apart.  He then floated in his space suit toward a planet and when he started getting pulled into its gravity, he fell down until he was suspended into a blurry library. It then showed that he was responsible for moving the books, and sending a coded message of "Stay" to young Murph. He was telling his daughter to make himself stay. It didn't work. So then, Cooper, does something to the watch on the bookshelf to give the middle aged Murph a message. It doesn't say what the message is, but we can deduce it is the coordinates of where he is floating in space. They find him with only minutes left of oxygen, and take him back to the floating space station near Saturn, where an old Murph is about to die.

The whole movie, they talk as if an intelligent alien race built or guided the humans to space to find an alternate planet to live on. The confusing part becomes the fact that it wasn't aliens that built this spacial library where Cooper can communicate with himself and young Murph.

What makes it even more confusing is that Cooper gets the coordinates of NORAD from the ghost, so why would he give the coordinates to himself, if he is telling his daughter to make himself stay.

Also, Cooper is attacked by Dr. Mann (Matt Damon) earlier on, and Cooper is left with his face mask depressurizing. Brand (Anne Hathaway) flies a space ship over to him, but he would be dead in that amount of time. Somehow Cooper survives.

Fourth Problem: Romilly Would not have Waited 23 Years

In the movie, Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway and the other guy go down to the water planet. She says for every hour they are there, 7 years passes on the ship above. So they finally leave the planet after it is a dud, and they get back and Romilly has aged 23 years. This is pretty out there. No one would wait 23 years on an away mission. This part was unbelievable.

What Did Work in the Confusing Space Movie Interstellar

The emotions in the movie are easy to connect with.  There is a message that you can miss out on a person's life, if you make certain choices.  I could connect with this.  It shared the importance that you should make every moment count, even if you are in a space ship trying to save the world.

In the end, Cooper races to go find Brand (Anne Hathaway), who is now alone on some planet.

I did not find the older people talking on the video screens relevant to the movie, and think it would have been far less confusing if they were not shown at the beginning of the movie.

These emotional scenes of separation, and the scars from it almost evoked tears from a movie goer I talked to. I could see that.

Overall, this movie was confusing and it is therefore deemed a Redbox movie. It is not worth paying movie ticket prices to get confused at a space movie like Interstellar.

Michonne Character Spotlight from the Walking Dead Television Show on AMC

Michonne killing zombies with her sword
Michonne taking on a group of zombies with her sword

Michonne is one character in the hit AMC television show, The Walking Dead, that I wouldn't want to mess with. She is played by actress Danai Gurira.

Michonne's weapon of  choice is the Katana sword.  She would rather slice zombies with her sword, than worry about shooting and reloading. Although, Michonne has carried a gun in the television show. In Season 5, episode 2, Michonne comes across a zombie, and beats it in the head with the butt of her automatic rifle, because she is without her favorite Katana sword. Find out if she gets it back (below).

Michonne's First Appearance in The Walking Dead Television Show on AMC

Michonne makes her first appearing in AMC The Walking Dead television show at the end of Season 2. She shows up mysteriously in the woods as a hooded figure with a Katana, and decapitates a zombie that is attacking Andrea. It shows her with two zombies shackled behind her. They have no arms, and no jaws, because they were cut off, for obvious reasons. In this Season 2 episode, "Beside the Dying Fire," it is revealed that this is the character Michonne from the graphic novel.

There are different variations of this next question regarding Michonne's mules:
Who are the two zombies in chains behind Michonne?
Who are the two walkers Michonne has in chains?
Who are the two walkers in chains?

Where Michonne's Two Chained Walkers and Katana Sword Come From

Later in the series, Michonne has a flashback, which reveals that one of the walkers was her boyfriend, Mike, and the other is his best friend Terry. Mike was bitten by a walker trying to break into the house. Michonne bandages him up, but this is before she understands that he will turn into a zombie. Michonne searches a neighbor's house for medical supplies. In her search, she finds a Katana sword. When she returns home, both Mike and Terry have become zombies.

Michonne is angry with Mike and Terry for getting high, which ultimately led to them being bit by walkers, and resulting in the death of her young son, Andre. She keeps them alive because they were her "last link" to her past life, before the zombie apocalypse.

In Season 3, Mike and Terry start to make too much noise while she has taken cover, so she kills decapitates them. Otherwise, the Governor, and his band of men would have found her spying on them. The benefit of keeping zombies Mike and Terry around, was because walkers don't eat walkers, and they helped keep Michonne somewhat camoflauged from zombies lurking nearby.

Michonne Loses Her Sword Temporarily at the end of Season 4

At the end of Season 4 in the Walking Dead finale, Michonne's Katana sword is confiscated by the Termites. However, the surviving Termites become The Hunters, and kidnap Bob and eat his leg. They plan on harming Rick's group at the church and eating them too, so they come up with a plan to stop them. At the end of Season 5, episode 3, the Hunters are stopped, and Michonne gets her Katana sword back. She is pretty happy to see it in one of the enemy's packs.

Conclusion: Michonne is a pretty tough character on this hit television show on AMC. Zombies don't stand a chance.

The Walking Dead Season 5 Premiere on AMC: Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) Decides to Grow a Bigger Beard

The Walking Dead Season 5 promo poster

The Walking Dead, Season 5 is set to premiere Sunday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. Central on AMC.

Actor Andrew Lincoln, playing character Rick Grimes, said this to Entertainment Weekly about Season 5 of the Walking Dead on AMC: "When I realized the nature of this season, that it was going to be so brutal, I realized we're going to need a bigger beard."

Meanwhile, actor Norman Reedus (playing Daryl Dixon) prepared for Season 5 of The Walking Dead on AMC by practicing his crossbow skills at home with regular target practice in his backyard.

He wants to look like a pro in the show. in case there are any archery buffs that host your local viewing party. If you aren't part of one, it's time to find one.

Actor Norman Reedus tells Entertainment Weekly (here) that Episode 1 of Season 5 is insane as far as what they shot, and how it will be edited down to be shown on AMC. Using a metaphor, Norman Reedus called episode 1 "the 4th of July" because of its intensity and what happens to the group.

Executive Producer Scott Gimple says (in the video below) that [Season 5] is going to be a "season of extremes," including "some very different locations than we've seen before."

End of The Walking Dead Season 4: Not Everyone Made it to Terminus

Meanwhile, Carol and Tyrese are still in the wild, with Rick's baby Judith, while Beth was last seen abducted, while alone with Daryl in the woods. Carol confessed to Tyrese in Season 4 that she killed Karen and David at the prison, before they could turn into zombies. Tyrese was mad, but chose not to harm Carol, but instead, let her live with her guilt.

This gives you a little more insight, so you look informed if you decide to host or find a local viewing party.

Terminus in the Walking Dead Season 4

Season 4 of the Walking Dead left Rick Grimes and his party in a new setting -- Terminus. When they first got to Terminus, we see a woman cooking meat on a large grill, which led some viewers to believe that Terminus was a city of cannibals. They suspect this: Newcomers are invited in to the city with open arms, and when they let their guard down, they are killed and fed to the Terminus population.

At the end of Season 4, do we really know that Terminus is full of cannibals?

Not yet. This will be revealed in Season 5 Episode 1 "Sanctuary" of the Walking Dead, which is discussed below.

At the end of Season 4, Rick's group enters a large warehouse type of building and there is a woman broadcasting over the radio waves the following to attract more people: "Terminus: sanctuary for all...a community for all." This is so they can bring "fresh meat" to Terminus, if you think that they are cannibals.

Perhaps, you will want to host or find 'The Walking Dead Season 5' viewing party in your local area.

The Walking Dead, Season 5 Episode 1: "Sanctuary"

As shared by Executive Producer Scott Gimple on The Talking Dead: In Terminus, the weak newcomers to the town are fed a plate of food. The meat is from humans. They are cannibals. The weak that reach Terminus are immediately taken to the rail car, to be butchered and fed to the Terminus population. According to executive producer, Greg Nicotero, Terminus was meant to be a good place. Unfortunately, the people at Terminus chose to follow the wrong path. Throughout the episode, the Termites keep saying: "You're either the butcher, or the cattle."

The woman in the episode in the candle room that Carol shoots is known as "Terminus Mary." She is Gareth's mom. At the end of the episode, she and her son Gareth and another are in the rail car to be butchered, after Terminus Mary was attacked by the zombies (after Carol let them in). It is unknown if she was actually bitten and will turn.

Meanwhile, Beth is alive somewhere, but is not happy to be there. That is all that is seen in Episode 1 regarding the character Beth, according to Scott Gimple.

Robin Lord Taylor had a very small part at the beginning of the episode, reprising his role as Sam. He is the first man on the trough. They cut his throat. You may also recognize him as the Penguin in the TV show, Gotham.

Rick Grimes gets his baby daughter Judith back from Tyreese at the end of the episode. Baby Judith was choked by a man from Terminus in the episode, and Tyreese stops him from killing Judith. He says in the episode that he isn't ready to kill again, but this incident motivates him to take action.

Who was the masked black man at the end of the Season 5, Episode 1?

He was a man from the Governor's group, named Morgan in Season 3. He is following X's marked on trees.

Why Does it say "Do Not Shake" on Sharpie Permanent Markers

3 Sharpies in hand
Why do Sharpies say: Do Not Shake?

Why Do Sharpies Say, "Do Not Shake"?

Almost every home in the U.S. contains a Sharpie in its junk drawer. If you have an artist in your home, then you may even have a large colorful assortment of Sharpie permanent markers on-hand.

Have you ever looked at a Sharpie real closely?

If so, you may notice that on some Sharpie markers, it says: "Do not shake." There is a perfectly good reason for this, and it may be simpler than you think.

The Real Reason Why it says "Do Not Shake" on a Sharpie

Question: Why do Sharpie permanent markers say do not shake?
Similar Question: Why do Sharpies say: do not shake?

You may be wondering why some Sharpie permanent markers say: "Do not shake" on the body of the marker. It's a great question.

The Answer: Why Does a Sharpie say "Do Not Shake"

Sharpie markers are filled with permanent ink. If that ink was dripping from a Sharpie, it would splatter if you flick or shake the Sharpie permanent marker. Permanent ink stains the surfaces that it bleeds onto. This is the main reason not to shake a Sharpie. The marker ink splatters are permanent and can ruin clothes, and stain walls, and other things.

Even if the ink does not splatter, if the marker falls out of a your hand, it could fall onto and mark your pants, or even a permanent ink spot on your carpet. You will have to deal with an ink splatter or an ink bleed if you are careless with an open Sharpie permanent marker.

Do you really want your favorite jeans or shirt stained with permanent ink?

No. Nobody wants this.

More Reasons for the "Do Not Shake" Warning

A Sharpie marker says "do not shake" on the label because shaking the marker can cause the ink to become aerated or mixed with the solvent in the pen. This can affect the quality of the ink and cause the marker to write unevenly or not at all.

The ink in a Sharpie marker is made up of several chemicals, including a solvent, a resin, and a colorant. When you shake the marker, the ink and the solvent mix together, creating air bubbles in the ink. These air bubbles can cause the ink to write unevenly or not at all, and can also cause the ink to dry out more quickly.

In general, it's best to store Sharpie markers with the cap on, in a horizontal position, and at room temperature to ensure the ink remains fresh and the marker writes smoothly.

Another unlikely reason for the "Do not shake" warning on a Sharpie, is that the cap of the Sharpie could fill up with ink when you flick or shake the marker. Then, when opened, the ink cap could spill permanent ink everywhere, creating quite a mess. The resulting clean-up will not be fun.

Real Story about a Co-Worker Shaking a Highlighter

One time a co-worker was holding a yellow highlighter in her hand. She was flicking the marker between her thumb and forefinger very rapidly. She did this for a few minutes. Minutes later, she looked down and noticed yellow highlighter ink was splattered all over the papers on her desk. Oops!

They should have put "Do not shake" on the highlighter because the ink can splatter. Since almost all Sharpies are permanent ink, this would stain clothes and be tough to wash out of a shirt or pants. This is another good reason why a Sharpie says, "Do not shake."

Fact: Some U.S. Cities and States Ban Permanent Markers

Fun Fact: Did you know that some U.S. cities and states ban having Sharpie permanent markers in public?

This is because of vandalism.

According to Wikipedia, California, Florida, New York City, and Berwyn, IL, all have laws against possessing permanent markers and even go as far as banning the sale of them to minors.

Kanye West Maintains he is a 'Victim' after Demanding Disabled People Stand at his Concert

Kanye West singing in a hoodie

Kanye West Concert Wheelchair Controversy in Sydney, Australia

Kanye West stops during his concert to say that he will not sing if everybody doesn't stand. He singles out two individuals in the crowd in particular, saying he will not continue if everybody doesn't stand. They happened to be handicapped. One was in a wheelchair, and the other with a prosthetic limb.

His exact words: "I can't do this show unless everybody stand up...unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s**t, Imma see you if you ain't standing up, believe me, I'm very good at that." [sic]

The fan then held up a prosthetic limb, and Kanye we said the person was "fine."

Later in the concert, he stopped again, waiting for another individual to stand up. Kanye West then sent his bodyguard to verify that this person was also in a wheelchair. The body guard confirmed this, and Kanye looked like a jerk once again.

Kanye West Does Not Apologize for his Behavior at the Concert

After the show, Kanye West was sure to say that he was the victim, and not the concert goers that were disabled. He went on a rant "to his fans" about various things, and referenced Ben Affleck and even Michael Brown. Kanye then tried to put everything in perspective, by saying that unarmed people are getting killed by police officers (reference to Michael Brown).

He then pointed out mid-rant that he is a married, Christian man, and that he should get a pass because he is a rock star that travels the globe, but chose to be faithful to one woman and have a child. That is why he is a victim, here.

Editor note: Give me a break! This guy has lost touch with reality. He wants people to worship him like a god. Fame has gone to his head.

The video here shows Kanye West being ridiculous. He should realize that he is a role model. The news here isn't "sensationalized." When Kanye West curses and talks about his artistry, he makes it clear that he isn't acting like the Christian married man should act. Stop demanding that everyone worship you. If a person in a wheelchair can't stand up at your show, then you shouldn't cry like a baby about it.

Apple Pay and iPhone 6 Utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC)

iPhone 6 Plus NFC
iPhone 6 has near field communication feature

Apple CEO Tim Cook made the iPhone 6 announcement on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014

The Apple iPhone 6 uses near field communication, or NFC, allowing iPhone users to use the proprietary Apple Pay to buy things with their phone, rather than have to pull out a real wallet. The actual NFC sensor is located at the top of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. However, if you keep reading, it is suggested that the Apple Watch may also contain a near field communication sensor, which allows all versions of the iPhone 5 to be NFC capable. So don't throw out your iPhone 5 just yet. Just do the smart thing, and read a review on the iPhone 6.

Major Credit Card Companies are on Board with Apple Pay NFC

The four biggest American credit cards are all on board to work with Apple Pay for near field communication payments. These are: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. These credit cards can be added to one's iPhone Passbook app, as easily as taking a picture of the front. After you do this, your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus is NFC ready.

Review: If the iPhone 6 Plus is Lost or Stolen...

If you lose your iPhone, there is no need for concern. By using the Find My iPhone service, you can easily deactivate your NFC payments feature. A good iPhone 6 review pointed this out.

How does Apple Pay on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus work?

When you check out with Apple Pay, your iPhone sends a one-time payment authorization number, plus a security code.

Is Apple Pay a secure form of near field communication payment?

Yes. With Apple Pay, the user must press their finger onto the iPhone 6 or Apple Watch fingerprint sensor to authorize a transaction.

Apple Users with Previous iPhone Models Concerned about Apple Pay

Are you worried that your iPhone won't be able to do Apple Pay?

Apple says that the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, and iPhone 5C will be able to use Apple Pay, with one caveat - you must first buy an Apple Watch. (Source: 9TO5Mac review article)

So, either way, Apple is going to get you to buy a product if you want to pay with NFC. You can buy an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or an Apple Watch. It's your choice.

1. After you shop, scan your receipt into the Walmart Savings Catcher app. You do this by pressing the green logo labeled "Savings Catcher" with an arrow pointing to the right. (See picture to the right)
2. The Savings Catcher screen opens and there are green circular arrows that orbit around the dollar sign. Look below this, and in an orange-red color, it says, "Scan a Receipt." Press this button.
3. The app then switch over to photo mode. There is a rectangular area that gets larger and smaller in the lower middle of your screen. Point this rectangular box over the QR code at the bottom of your receipt, or scan the barcode above the QR code. If the receipt printed poorly, then you may have to enter it manually. It asks you to enter the series of numbers at the bottom of the receipt, then the receipt date, which is not much.
4. The app takes the receipt information and then compares it to the local circulars of stores in your area. If it finds a lower advertised price, the Savings Catcher app will credit your account for the difference in price.

Keep in mind that your receipt must be from the past seven days to qualify for potential savings.  How much money will you save?

Some Issues with the Walmart Savings Catcher App

I had one receipt that didn't print right, and I had to key in the serial numbers manually. My next two receipts did not want to scan right away, which may have more to do with the iPhone's processor, than with the app itself. They eventually did scan after holding the camera over the barcodes for about 30 seconds apiece.

The barcode and QC codes are not picking up immediately when the view screen guide rectangle is up on the screen.

Thoughts on How to Save Money with the Walmart Savings Catcher App

After thinking about this new app, I had a few revelations on what is really going on. While I do like the idea of savings via local advertisements, I think that Walmart is getting something far more valuable from customers, and that is information.

But, Walmart already has this information about what people buy in their database. What added-value could Walmart possibly get from this app?

I think Walmart is using this app to lure away customers that shop at multiple stores to get the best deal elsewhere, and this app is saying: "Why go over there, when you can still get the best deal here?"

See the idea of getting the best deal has always existed at Walmart. They have always said, if you find a lower price anywhere else, bring the ad and your receipt back to the store, and we'll refund you the difference. But that is such a hassle. This Walmart Savings Catcher app eliminates the need to come back to the store and wait in the long line at customer service to get some change back.

An example of inside the Walmart Savings Catcher app

In reality, you may actually save a few cents using this app, but it is more likely to happen if you buy more items at Walmart, than if you are a "get-a-few-things-from-Walmart" shopper. I can show you how to save, but that doesn't mean you will save money with this app.

Overall, the Walmart Saving Catcher app is very useful in theory, but I have yet to save a penny with it in my four trips so far.

This blog recommends that you get the app on your smartphone, and try it out for yourself.  Please share in the comments below how much money you have saved with the Walmart Savings Catcher app.

Sylvestor Stallone Movie Expendables 3 is a 'Flop'

Stallone embarrassed
Expendables 3 is a flop with poor opening debut

The Sylvestor Stallone produced movie, Expendables 3, is a flop, says Yahoo! Movies, among other movie review sites. They base this on the extremely poor opening weekend, estimated to stay below $16 million in the US through Sunday of the opening weekend.

In comparison, Expendables 1 opening weekend grossed $34.8 million, and Expendables 2 grossed $28.6 million. The extremely poor revenue earnings for Expendables 3 has secured it the flop status, and may even earn Sylvestor Stallone a Razzie Award for poor acting.

Opening Weekend Update: As of Sunday (08/17/14) at 7:51 a.m., Expendables 3 had $16.2 million in revenue. (Source: Deadline)

The one-liner of the movie that stands out is said by Jason Statham: "Morons need friends."

Expendables 3 Gets Many Bad Reviews

The Atlantic says in regards to Expendables 3: "no movie this stupid should be this complicated." Ouch.

Sylvestor Stallone openly admitted to Entertainment Weekly back in 2011 this: "I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times."

Rotten Tomatoes says Expendables 3 is 35% rotten (not good), and that only 54% of audience goers like the movie.

Screen Rant gives Expendables 3, 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Cast of Expendables 3

The following actors are in the movieExpendables 3: Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvestor Stallone, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, and Mel Gibson.

Entertainment Weekly believes that Antonio Banderas was the best actor in the whole movie.

Did Online Piracy Hurt Expendables 3?

Variety reported that Expendables 3 was downloaded 189,000 times in the first 24 hours since it was first leaked online in July 2014. Variety suggested that this will hurt its theatrical debut, since "young males" are more likely to be pirating movies illegally, and this is the target audience.

For reference, when 15 million people download a movie illegally, it represents tens of millions of lost revenue dollars.

Various movie review sites are very critical of this movie, and believe that there is not much to the storyline, and that Director Patrick Hughes is not exactly a seasoned director, which adds to the problems of the movie.
Sylvestor Stallone can't be happy that critics are calling his action movie a flop. View the trailer below.

Fish Plays Pokemon: Watch the Live Stream on Twitch

Official picture of 'Fish plays Pokemon' created by Reddit user Sundreamers

A fish plays Pokemon on Twitch, and people go nuts. Over 2 million people have tuned into the live stream to see Grayson (the fish) move about in his fish bowl and play Pokemon -- or so we are told. But it gives the people something to watch during times of extreme boredom. There is no sound to this live stream, because Beta fish can't be heard underwater without an extremely sensitive microphone.

A screenshot of a fish plays Pokemon

How Fish Plays Pokemon was Born

Catherine Moresco and Patrick Facheris combined brains to come up with the idea for this brilliant idea for HackNY. They decided to assign 9 quadrants of a fish bowl to a corresponding button on a traditional Nintendo Gameboy. Whenever the fish moves from one quadrant to another, it will then press the corresponding button or arrow to move the player in the Pokemon game. The result is a fish playing Pokemon.

To everyone's surprise, Grayson has already won one battle in Pokemon already with his Charmander (a fire salamander) named 'AAAABBK', during the 160 hours of gameplay logged so far (as of 08/08/14 at 8:14 p.m.). Sometimes the fish does not move, and that is attributed to when he sleeps, because fish sleep too, ya know!

So he has a name, and his name is Grayson Hopper. Grayson is a beta fish. Some fans of the live stream want a goldfish, and have expressed so much in the live stream chat window. The owners of the live stream (Catherine Moresco and Patrick Facheris) have indicated in the "Streaming Info" section that the live stream may be down while they make upgrades.

Upgrades to Fish Plays Pokemon

In the "Streaming Info" section, Catherine Moresco and Patrick Facheris share that Grayson plays and lives in a dorm room, and there is not a dedicated light for Grayson, which would mean the live stream is very dark during sleeping hours. The owners are getting him a dedicated lamp, and they are going to improve the quality of the live stream.

Updates: On August 8, 2014, the live stream owners state that the live stream will be down for two hours while Grayson's host moves. The stream came back up around 8:34 p.m. Central Time on August 8, 2014.

Orlando Bloom Tried to Punch Justin Bieber over ex Miranda Kerr

Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom riding a Jet ski

Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom are usually not found in the same sentence...until this week.

Orlando Bloom Tried to Punch Justin Bieber in Ibiza, Spain

Orlando Bloom approached Justin Bieber after Justin made a comment about Orlando's ex, Miranda Kerr. Orlando then allegedly took a swing at him outside of Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza, Spain, but did not land the punch because of Justin Bieber's entourage. Some might argue that Justin Bieber is just too squirrelly to let haters land punches.

The Latino Post reports that Selena is embarrassed for her ex, Justin Bieber.

Eyewitness Shares the Details of Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom Incident at Cipriani

The Mirror interviewed an eyewitness (Anastasia Skolkova) that said that Orlando Bloom actually took more than one swing at Justin Bieber. She sat at the table next to Orlando Bloom and Leonardo DiCaprio. When Justin Bieber came into the restaurant, he said something to upset Orlando Bloom, and that is when Orlando jumped onto a sofa to try and get at Justin Bieber. Anastasia says there were two moments when it got violent.

Leonardo DiCaprio isn't Amused by Justin Bieber

According to Anastasia, Leonardo DiCaprio was flipping out at the whole ordeal, and Lindsay Lohan was also present.

Yahoo! News shared that Leonardo DiCaprio and P. Diddy were clapping for Orlando Bloom, and Leonardo DiCaprio publicly humiliated Justin Bieber by brushing his hands at Justin Bieber. At that point, Orlando Bloom jumped over a booth and chased Justin Bieber.

Previously, at the Cannes film festival, Justin Bieber sent his entourage over to invite Leonardo DiCaprio to come and party with Justin Bieber, and Leo declined.

Justin Bieber takes to Instagram

After the Orlando punch incident, Justin Bieber posted a picture on Instagram of Orlando Bloom crying and a picture of Miranda Kerr with a caption of a crown as the text. The Miranda Kerr picture was then quickly deleted.

Justin Bieber Continously Boasting about Sleeping with Miranda Kerr

NY Daily News shared that Justin Bieber has continuously been boasting to his friends and in the recording studio that he slept with Miranda Kerr while she was still married to Orlando Bloom. They supposedly hooked up after the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (New York).

More specifically, Justin Bieber has said that Miranda Kerr "made him a man." Wow. That must mean that Selena Gomez didn't mean much to him as he is on his conquest to sleep with married women.

Other celebrities, like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, P. Diddy, Jared Leto, Kate Moss, Leonardo Di Caprio, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan were also in Ibiza, Spain at the time. Justin Bieber was seen partying with Kimye Friday night (08/01/14), and made sure that Orlando Bloom was not allowed into the party. The party was for Givenchy fashion designer Riccardo Tisci.

When asked, the majority of celebrities say they side with Orlando Bloom, or say they are #TeamBloom. Many people are approaching Orlando Bloom and saying that he is their hero, after his confrontation with Justin Bieber.

Stephen Colbert asked James Franco if he was TeamBieber or TeamBloom, and he said, "TeamBloom."

Orlando Bloom Kissed Nina Dobrev at Comic Con 2014

Apparently, Orlando Bloom has moved on in his love life, but is still annoyed with Justin Bieber. Annoyed enough to confront him, and try to punch him in a public place.

U.S. Weekly shared that Orlando Bloom was seen kissing Nina Dobrev at Comic Con 2014 in San Diego, CA. Nina Dobrev is known for her role in the Vampire Diaries. She is 25, and Orlando Bloom is 37.

This was not just any kiss. Orlando Bloom and Nina Dobrev were witnessed making out for 20 minutes, and "grinding" on the dance floor.

Two Secrets to Getting 1.5 Million Organic Page Views on Google Plus

1.5 Million Google Plus page views
1.5 Million Google Plus Page Views
What are the two big secrets to getting 1.5 million organic page views on Google Plus?

The first secret is original content...not just re-posting articles and stories that interest you.

My Google+ profile has passed 1.5 million organic page views. with the majority of posts on my profile are blog posts from Z. Love's Entertainment Blog and Stop Email Phishing Scams.

Original Content is important to Google Plus and Google Search

People want to read original content. Re-posting articles and content makes that content popular, but you need original content added to Google Plus as well.

Hashtags are important to Twitter, but now also on Facebook and Google Plus

The second secret is to add hashtags to every post on Google Plus. You can add up to three hashtags per post on Google Plus. Focus on the most popular and most searched for words in the post. Hashtags started out as a way to contribute to a conversation on Twitter, but the use of hashtags has now also grown to social media sites Facebook and Google+, too.

These 1.5 million organic page views on Google Plus were not from back-links, special marketing tricks, or special SEO other than what I have already described to you. Secret #1: Post original content regularly. Secret #2: Add hashtags to every post.

If you want Google+ to give you lots of page views, you must learn to incorporate the about two secrets to every post.

Another tips is to always write something in the description of a Google+ post. These words come up in search engine results, and help your posts and content to be found in internet searches, particularly when a Google search is performed.

Both the description of the blog post and the description that you typed on Google+ will show up in a Google search containing certain key words.

Gun Control Ineffective in the Movie Tombstone and Worse for the United States

Ronald Reagan Quote on Gun Control

In the 1993 movie, Tombstone, the Earp Brothers have to take matters into their own hands after the local law man Fred is killed by a bandit.

Virgil Earp issues a mandate that no guns are allowed in Tombstone. But his radical #guncontrol does not help them stop the bad guys.

He says, "I'm not sayin' that you can't own a gun. I'm not sayin' that you can't carry a gun. I'm just sayin' you can't carry a gun in town."

As Ronald Reagan pointed out, if you take guns away from law-abiding citizens, then only the thugs and criminals that don't follow the law have guns. This kind of gun control is dangerous for the citizens of the United States.

In the movie, the gun-toting bandits come back to Tombstone with a posse and Wyatt Earp gets sworn in real quick-like to defend the town. This was inevitable, because the law breakers were the ones carrying guns.

Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014 Brings Back Gun Control Debate

Politicians in the U.S. Senate have been at odds over the Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014. According to the Miami Herald, Senators from both parties planned to add amendments to the Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014 to re-ignite the debate on gun control

The Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014 needed 60 votes in the Senate to get passed, and did not receive these necessary votes on Thursday, July 10, 2014 to get passed. No Republicans voted to proceed with the bill on Thursday.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. - NV) blocked all amendments, saying he would only negotiate further with a "set list" of amendments to the Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014.

Senator Roger Wicker (R. - MS) accused Harry Reid of breaking from the Senate traditional way of introducing amendments. Roger Wicker co-sponsored the bill, as well as 25 other Republicans, and 19 other Democrats.

After the bill was initially approved, Republicans tried to add 55 amendments to the bill, and Democrats tried to add 26 amendments. Harry Reid would have none of it, and killed it on Thursday.

If you want to find out all of the things in the original Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014, those details can be read here.

Sci-fi Show, 'The 100' Season 1 on the CW Gets a Season 2 with Ratings

The 100 CW Poster

Sci-fi Show, 'The 100' Season 1 on the CW

The 100 on the CW is a sci-fi drama based on a book series by Kass Morgan.

The show takes place in a future where the Earth was abandoned due to nuclear war 97 years earlier, forcing humans to look to space for survival. They built and live in a space station orbiting above the Earth, with the capability of coming back to Earth with shuttles. As food and water begins to deplete, the leaders aboard the space station have to make hard decisions. They first decide to send 100 of their delinquents down to Earth to see if it is habitable. In reality, the leaders knew this would be a death sentence, to give those aboard the station a better chance with less people to drain the ship's resources. To monitor #The100 on the Earth, each juvenile is fitted with a vital signs bracelet. As life signs abruptly end, the space station begins to think that The 100 are unable to survive on the Earth.

The 100 land on Earth (in once was the Eastern U.S.) and find out that the planet is habitable, and that there are humans that did survive on Earth this whole time. These humans appear to be feudal and aggressive toward outsiders, particularly The 100 that "fell from the sky."

For the duration of Season 1, The 100 mainly takes place at the base camp that they have built on Earth, and the scenes back up inside the space station. However, in episode 13, the surviving 100 members are gassed by an unknown group and the episode ends inside a quarantine unit inside of Mount Weather. This indicates that there was a group of surviving humans that still possess technology and modern equipment.

YouTube Video Trolling Explained After ATL Roll Call

Description: In the YouTube video, #Atlanta takes the floor at #GoldenGlide for #JiveBiscuit2020

This video was filmed at Golden Glide Roller Skating rink, located at 2750 Wesley Chapel Rd., Decatur, GA 30034.

The Problem with Internet Trolls on YouTube

Internet Trolls
YouTube Trolling (Image: Flickr CC; by Cali4Beach)

What is Video Trolling on YouTube?

Trolling in the YouTube world is where someone creates a video and some part of the content is designed to get a reaction from viewers. This reaction has been termed "trolling". More likely than not, the reaction is expected to be negative among viewers, and might offend some people. In this context, the whole purpose for a YouTube video to engage in trolling is to create some type of controversy with the end result being more viewers to come across their YouTube video.

YouTubers are Guilty of Video Trolling

People that post videos regularly and get a lot of views are called "YouTubers". Among YouTubers, people that engage in trolling for video views are looked upon like they will sell out just to get some more views. However, many YouTubers will do whatever they need to do to get video views. Professional YouTubers advise newcomers to create high quality content for their YouTube Channel, and then trolling is not necessary.

TheFineBros show various YouTubers a video clip of Boxxy (at this URL), and they comment on her personality. In the Q&A section following the video, The Fine Bros. ask YouTubers if Boxxy was trolling, and they say "yes". The Fine Bros. explain to YouTubers that Boxxy is a made up character with the intent to get views by upsetting some viewers.

Some of the YouTubers believe that in 2009, that there wasn't as much content on YouTube, and that Boxxy was just trying to get some views by creating this video. Some people have even called Boxxy the "Queen of the Internet" even if she was creating a trolling type of YouTube video.

Trolling also Happens in Journalism

Ann Coulter called soccer a "liberal conspiracy" and a sign of the "moral decline of the U.S." on her website, while the World Cup was taking place in 2014. This is a prime example of when a person attempts to use extreme terms to make a point, and hopefully be so outrageous in her wording, that people get offended.

I know that some people were offended by her outrageous stance on soccer, but it is also pretty obvious that she is using extreme terms to make her point. In my opinion, this is just bad journalism. But that is probably why her soccer hating article is on her "column" which is on her personal website. I doubt any legitimate publication would publish an article like this.
