Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) Gets Killed off in FOX show, Gotham in Season 1

Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney
Fish Mooney will not be returning to Gotham Season 2
Warning: This blog post contains spoilers about the Fox show, Gotham, Season 1.

If you haven't already read the title of this blog post, then you in are for a spoiler.  Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that her character, Fish Mooney, will be leaving the hit FOX showGotham, in Season 1. Yes, that means she will not be alive to cause problems in Season 2.

Fish Mooney will be killed off in Gotham Season 1 Finale

This can be gathered after Jada Pinkett Smith was on "Live With Kelly and Michael" on Friday March 6, 2015.  She was asked while on the talk show if she would be returning for Season 2 of Gotham - which has already been picked up by FOX. (That was announced in this Variety article). Jada Pinkett Smith answered: "I don't think so, no. I signed up for a year, and the year is up. But, there are some great things coming ahead on 'Gotham' - believe you me, there's a lot of good stuff coming."

When Jada Pinkett Smith talks about "...a lot of good stuff coming..." could she possibly be referring to her own character (Fish Mooney's) death?

Because she can't be referring to the rise of Batman, because we were told that Batman is not seen in this show...ever. So she could only be referring to something big - like the death of a major character.

But from her perspective, it would not be a good thing, because that will be the end of the paychecks for her part on the show.

But, given the fact that FOX only renews shows that get big numbers in ratings, and that FOX only airs shows that are "edgy," one can only imagine that Fish Mooney will be killed off in the Finale episode of Season 1 of Gotham. That is my prediction, anyways.

Fish Mooney has already been to the underground, and then demanded that she speak to the guy running the organization (the Dollmaker). When the manager attempts to take her eyes, she jams a spoon in her own eye, and rips it out onto the floor, and then steps on it.

You can't be too careful around a guy that calls himself the Dollmaker in the DC Comics world. There were three Dollmakers, actually. And you can read about all of them here.

The show, Gotham, is a must watch show and is approved by Z. Love's Entertainment Blog.
