Why the sad face, Zayn Malik?

Maybe it is because Zayn Malik recently called it quits on his group One Direction. Maybe he just wasn't happy. He certainly doesn't look happy in his exit photo from his house (above).

Why Zayn Malik Wasn't Happy as Part of One Direction

MTV News reported that Zayn Malik made this statement about his departure from One Direction: "I feel like I'm doing what's right -- right by myself and right by the boys, so I feel good."

He continued, "I did try to do something that I wasn't happy doing for a while, for the sake of maybe other people's happiness -- and that was mainly the fans...and I only every tried to do it for the fans, and it was only ever for them. And, basically, I'm only upset I feel like I may have let them down in some sort of way. That's the main thing that I don't want to happen. It's not that I've turned my back on them or anything, it's just that I just can't do that any more because it's not real to me."

Zayn Malik and One Direction are on Good Terms; They are Supportive of his Decision

MTV News reported that the other members of One Direction are on good terms, and they have been really supportive of his decision to leave, while still recording their fifth album.

Zayn Malik has revealed that he wants some time away from the publicity spotlight, wanting to "relax and chill" but also has been seen heading to a London music studio to work on new music independently of One Direction, with producer, Naughty Boy.

When quizzed, Naughty Boy, did not deny that they have been working on music together. He said, "I can't deny the fact that we have made music together...Zayn is going to feature on my next album."

As One Direction was on their Asia leg of their tour, Zayn Malik reportedly went to a night club and mingled with some girls, and was caught on camera holding hands with a girl that is not his fiance. 

On daytime talk show, Wendy, Wendy and a Celebrity news analyst analyze what he is going through. Zayn Malik is 22 years old, and has been engaged for two years. (Watch the video below).

The analyst speculates that because of this act of infidelity, the band One Direction is stressed out, and that is why he called it quits.

Meanwhile, Zayn Malik insists this is not the reason for his departure, but it is solely because of his happiness.
