Dynamic Duo: When Did Deadpool Meet Black Cat in Marvel Comics?

You may have questions about Deadpool's history...

Given there is a Deadpool & Wolverine movie just around the corner, it may make you wonder about other pair-ups that Deadpool has had in the past, including one with Spider-man, since some characters in the comics sometimes mistake Deadpool for Spider-man.

Have you ever wondered if Deadpool encounters Black Cat in Marvel Comics?

If so, the answer is "yes," it happened.

In fact, she is an example of someone who mistakes Deadpool for Spider-Man in Deadpool: Back in Black Vol. 1 Issue 3, among others after Deadpool is taken over by a symbiote (like Venom).

Deadpool: Back in Black Vol. 1, Issue 3

In Deadpool: Back in Black (the first story), Black Cat is flirty with Deadpool when she approaches him, thinking that he is Spider-Man. This is because Deadpool is in a black suit, and Deadpool awkwardly tries to tell her he isn't the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

In fact, she takes the opportunity to tell him she is ready to give their relationship another chance. Deadpool tries to get away to go fight crime, and Black Cat decides to accompany him.

This doesn't mean that Deadpool isn't thinking how beautiful she is, and how lucky Spider-Man is to have such an attractive woman pursuing him.

While webslinging, the symbiote gets annoyed because he detests Spider-Man, and fails to shoot a webline. As he is falling, Black Cat catches him and jokes about Spider-Man being out of web fluid.

After this, Deadpool points out a jewelry store being robbed by genetically altered white rabbits being led by White Rabbit.

Deadpool and Black Cat interrupt the burglary in progress, and Black Cat notices that Spider-Man's at the top of his game with witty lines.

Deadpool and Black Cat Face White Rabbit and Feral Rabbits

White Rabbit's rabbits were genetically altered to carry a super-virus, which then mutated into feral animals and attacked Deadpool. Black Cat uses her probability manipulation powers to dodge shots from White Rabbit's machine gun.

Killer Thrill (an alien bounty hunter) watches from a UFO above and activates a sonic weapon. The diseased rabbits' heads explode, and Black Cat and White Rabbit are sprayed with bloody rabbit bits.

White Rabbit's bullets hit Deadpool, but the symbiote blocks them from penetrating. As Deadpool attempts to pursue White Rabbit, he is blasted by a bolt of electricity.

Black Cat attacks Killer Thrill, swiping at her with her claws, but Killer Thrill takes control of Black Cat with psychic powers and lets Deadpool know this much.

At one point, the symbiote linked to Deadpool turns into a monstrous form and manages to save Black Cat as the alien bounty hunters retreat. He notes that this was a good first date, and it wouldn't be right to "kiss the girl" and leaves Black Cat on the roof of the apartment, it is revealed that Kraven the Hunter has been secretly watching him and also believes he is spying on Spider-Man, and not Deadpool taken over by a symbiote.
