Will the next Batman be Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, Orlando Bloom, or Joe Manganiello?

Christian Bale Offered Batman Role for $50 Million in Man of Steel Sequel

According to a Business Insider article, Warner Bros. has offered Christian Bale $50 Million to reprise his role as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel movie full of superheroes. Kirsten Acuna, who wrote the article, sources her information to an ebook titled: "Beyond Batman: The Unauthorized True Story of Christian Bale and His Dark Knight Dilemna." This ebook is by Vince Russel.

Does anybody know who Vince Russel is?

Russel apparently has some connection to a Legendary Pictures insider that speaks with authority on the subject.

Umm, I would be very careful before taking an ebook as a credible source. Anybody can write an ebook these days.

Let's take a moment to digress. If Christian Bale was really offered $50 Million by Warner Bros. for 20 minutes in a movie, then it is really greedy for Bruce Willis to ask for $4 Million USD for four consecutive days of filming?

If you put it that way, no.

Take a moment to read: Is Bruce Willis 'Greedy and Lazy' Like Sylvestor Stallone Says?

But wait, that's not all.

Orlando Bloom Would Be Instantly Granted Batman Role

An Access Hollywood article says that it is rumored that Orlando Bloom is being strongly considered to be the next Batman in the Justice League movie, and that he would be granted the part without a casting call. It must be nice to get a job without an interview.

Orlando Bloom as Bruce Wayne?

As a follower of the comic books and cartoon series, my opinion is that Christian Bale did not make a good Bruce Wayne, and I am ready for the reboot. Orlando Bloom would be a fresh Bruce Wayne in a business suit, although I can't picture Orlando Bloom as the right Bruce Wayne either.

Other actors considered to be on the short list to play Batman:

  1. Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf)
  2. Armie Hammer (Lone Ranger)
  3. Josh Brolin (Jonah Hex, MIB III)
  4. Ryan Gosling (Drive)
  5. Richard Armitage (The Hobbit)
  6. Joe Manganiello (True Blood)
  7. Matthew Goode (Watchmen)
  8. Max Martini (Pacific Rim)
So who's right, Business Insider or Access Hollywood?

Ben Affleck will be Bruce Wayne

Update (08/23/13): It's official. Ben Affleck has been announced as the next Batman. Neither Orlando Bloom nor Christian Bale will be taking the role.

Joe Manganiello Missed Out on both Batman and Superman Roles

Joe Manganiello missed out on the role of Batman, and previously passed over for the role of Superman, which went to Henry Cavill.

Who is Joe Manganiello?

He is the actor that was in True Blood.

This is what Joe Manganiello had to say about the missed opportunity of Superman:

"Well, I mean, the thing about Superman was it...I mean, I know the right one is out there for me...there wasn't anything I could do with Superman. There was interest from every single possible angle on that project, and the reason they were interested was because of True Blood. From the director, to casting, to the producers involved, it was all because of True Blood, that was why I was in the running. And at the end of teh day, it was True Blood's schedule that kept me from doing it. There's just no human way possible I could be in two places at once when I'm contracted to be on True Blood.

Is Joe Manganiello a little upset with his obligations to True Blood?

Sounds like he is brooding. Which is yet another reason why he could of been a great Batman.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is an Awesome iOS Phone Game!

Injustice: Gods Among Us game cover

Last night, I downloaded Injustice: Gods Among Us. It is a free iOS app available in the Apple iStore, from Warner Bros. I started playing, and couldn’t stop. It is a lot of fun, and it reminds me of Mortal Kombat, except without the blood and gore.

This game features your favorite DC superheroes, and offers many ways to customize characters with different outfits and boost the character's health, and super-powers with in-game currency upgrades.

You start out with Cyborg, the Flash, and Deathstroke. You have a team of 3, and can trade out your heroes when one is getting weak.

After playing for about an hour, I received Nightwing and then Catwoman. If you sign up with the WB for free, you receive the New 52 Green Lantern. Other characters include: Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman, Superman, Solomon Grundy, Sinestro, Bane, Green Arrow, Harley Quinn, Batman, the Joker, and more.

The various superheroes are controlled by tapping the screen on the bad guy for multiple hits. Then, you can do a Knockout move at the end of the sequential hits by a swipe in a particular direction, which you are told on the touchscreen. If you do a swipe left or right on the screen, you do a power attack, which is somewhat slower than your tapping attacks. If you touch two fingers to the touchscreen, your superhero blocks.

Your attacks on the other character build up, and you eventually get a power move, indicated by a full bar on the bottom of the screen. Touch the bar to do the move. It may require you to tap very fast on a spot of the screen, or a repetitive swipe on the screen in a particular direction.

Cyborg and Nightwing’s power moves require tapping. Catwoman’s power move requires swiping up or down, the Flash’s move requires a swiping, and Deathstroke’s requires a swiping motion.

After each battle, the experience points are added to the characters in play, leveling up your superheroes. At a certain point, extra abilities are added to the character. For example, Catwoman gets razor sharp claws that induce bleeding in her attack.

Overall, I found Injustice: God’s Among Us to be pretty awesome for iOS. The loading screens show close up of the superheroes outfits with ripped muscles. If you are a fan of superheroes and particularly of DC comics, this app is a must download. Awesome game and awesome app by DC and Warner Bros.

Angus T. Jones Calls 'Two and a Half Men' "Filth" in Interview

Angus T. Jones laughing in Forerunner interview on Warner Bros. lot

Angus T. Jones, star of the CBS show, ‘Two and a Half Men,’ did an interview from his trailer on the Warner Bros. lot, revealing some shocking news about his feelings on his current role on the sitcom.

Angus T. Jones says in the interview: “Please don’t watch Two and a Half Men…I’m on ‘Two and a Half Men’ and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth.” Angus T. Jones also says, “You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that.”

Angus T. Jones shares in the interview that he visited many churches before trying out a Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) on a Saturday. He felt this was a natural fit for him, and that the particular sermon preached that day was tailor-made just for him, as he says in the interview.

Chuck Lorre has not yet publicly commented on Angus T. Jones recent interview, but he has no doubt heard the news of the Angus T. Jones interview.

Chuck Lorre had a public feud with Charlie Sheen in 2011, after Charlie Sheen was kicked off of the show, and Sheen went on record to publicly disparage Chuck Lorre, the show’s producer. Chuck Lorre fired back with his own version of the events leading up to Charlie Sheen's exit. Charlie Sheen then followed his departure with his own 'Torpedo of Truth' tour, going onstage in major U.S. cities, telling his own side of the story.

An earlier blog post on Charlie Sheen can be read here on Z.Love's Entertainment Blog.

Angus T. Jones recent comments come after getting saved in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was being interviewed by the Forerunner Chronicle, which is associated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The real question is: Will Angus T. Jones continue acting on the show, ‘Two and a Half Men,’ for the remainder of the season or will they kick him out like they did Charlie Sheen?

Angus T. Jones makes $350,000.00 per episode, more than one person’s typical annual salary.

Since the Angus T. Jones interview, Charlie Sheen has offered Angus T. Jones a role on his show, "Anger Management."

The Youtube video featuring Angus T. Jones can be seen here.

Angus T. Jones has also issued a public apology as well, saying: "Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on 'Two and a Half Men' with whom I have worked over the past ten years and who have become an extension of my family."

Angus T. Jones explaining he doesn't believe the SDA Church is a cult
