Nathan Gallagher from Below Deck: Mediterranean was Charged with Domestic Violence; 'Bravo does not plan on working with Nathan in the future'

A Below Deck: Mediterranean star did not show up to court before a magistrate judge on Tuesday, September 2, 2026. Bravo does not plan to have him on future Below Deck series.

Bravo Parts Ways With Below Deck Star Nathan Gallagher Amid Legal Controversy

Fans of Below Deck Mediterranean are seeing a major change behind the scenes as Bravo has confirmed that it no longer plans to work with Nathan Gallagher following his ongoing legal troubles and domestic-violence case in Australia.

Nathan Gallagher became a familiar face to Below Deck viewers after joining the franchise as part of the deck crew. His time on the series included a relationship with fellow cast member Gael Cameron, with whom he later had a child. His personal life became part of the storyline as viewers watched him attempt to balance his responsibilities aboard the yacht with his growing responsibilities as a father.

Now, his future with the franchise appears to be over. There will be no more "Deck Daddy" as long as Bravo gets their way. Thanks to deckhand Cooper (from Season 11) for coming up with that moniker.

Bravo Cuts Ties With Nathan Gallagher

According to Rolling Stone, a Bravo spokesperson confirmed that the network has "no plans to work with Nathan Gallagher in the future." The decision comes after Gallagher became involved in a serious legal case stemming from an alleged domestic-violence incident in Australia.

The timing is particularly significant because Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 is currently airing. The season was filmed before Gallagher's December 2025 arrest, meaning viewers are still seeing him on screen even though his relationship with Bravo has effectively ended.

Bravo reportedly does not intend to remove Gallagher's existing scenes from the season. That creates an unusual situation for the network and viewers: Gallagher remains part of the current television storyline while simultaneously being separated from the franchise's future.

The situation has also frustrated some fans who questioned why Bravo did not immediately address Gallagher's legal problems after news of his arrest became public.

What Happened to Nathan Gallagher?

Gallagher was arrested in Australia in December 2025 after police responded to an alleged assault at an apartment complex in the Sydney area.

He was charged with three offenses: assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault. Rolling Stone previously reported that a corresponding court matter involved an Apprehended Violence Application connected to Gael Cameron, Gallagher's former partner and Below Deck castmate.

Gallagher has disputed the idea that the public has heard the complete story.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, he acknowledged making mistakes but said he believed the situation was considerably more complicated than what had been publicly reported. He also claimed to have video footage, messages and other records that he believes could provide additional context.

Importantly, Gallagher said he intended to address those matters through the appropriate legal channels rather than releasing private material publicly.

Arrest Warrant Adds Another Layer

The controversy intensified when Gallagher failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing in Australia on September 1, 2026.

Australian authorities subsequently issued an arrest warrant. Reports indicate Gallagher is believed to be outside Australia.

A judge proceeded with the case despite his absence, resulting in convictions relating to the domestic-violence charges. The development dramatically changed the situation from an allegation involving a reality-TV personality into a much more serious legal matter.

The case has consequently attracted considerable attention from Below Deck fans, many of whom have been watching Gallagher's storyline without knowing how events would ultimately unfold.

His Relationship With Gael Cameron

Gallagher and Cameron first met while filming Below Deck Mediterranean. Their relationship developed while the pair were working together on the yacht's deck team.

Their relationship later resulted in the birth of their son.

That family connection has made the controversy particularly complicated. During his response to the allegations, Gallagher emphasized that his primary concern was his child and said he hoped to eventually establish a peaceful co-parenting relationship with Cameron.

Cameron has also taken legal steps seeking protection, according to previous reporting.

For viewers who watched their relationship develop on television, the legal conflict represents a dramatic reversal from the storyline originally presented on the show.

Why Bravo's Decision Matters

Bravo has dealt with controversial cast members before, but Gallagher's situation demonstrates the difficult position reality-TV networks face when legal problems emerge after filming has already been completed.

Below Deck is built around real people, interpersonal relationships and unpredictable situations. That can create compelling television, but it also means networks can find themselves dealing with serious off-camera developments while a season is already airing.

In Gallagher's case, Bravo appears to have chosen a middle ground.

The network is allowing previously filmed episodes to continue airing, but it has indicated that Gallagher will not return for future projects.

That approach allows Bravo to avoid altering a completed season while also making its position on Gallagher's future clear.

What Happens Next for Below Deck Mediterranean?

For fans, the biggest question may now be what happens to the show's cast moving forward.

Gallagher will not be part of the franchise's future plans, meaning Bravo will have to move forward without a personality who had become increasingly visible within the Below Deck Mediterranean universe.

The franchise itself is unlikely to disappear because of one cast member. Below Deck has successfully introduced new crew members and personalities across multiple seasons and spinoffs.

However, Gallagher's departure illustrates how quickly the reality-TV world can change. It is very much a "here today, gone tomorrow" type of industry, and bad publicity can cost an actor their acting career, and rightfully so.

What began as a storyline about yacht life, relationships, and family has evolved into a serious legal controversy that has now ended his relationship with Bravo.

For viewers, the remaining episodes of the current season will inevitably be watched through a different lens.

Nathan Gallagher may still appear on screen, but his future with Below Deck appears to have sailed away, both literally and figuratively.

Editor’s note: Gallagher has disputed the characterization that only one version of events has been made public and has said he possesses evidence he believes provides additional context. Legal proceedings and reporting surrounding the case remain ongoing, and allegations and legal findings should be distinguished from claims made by either party.

Illinois Grandparents Accidentally Buy $10K in Disney Plus Gift Cards from Sam's. Disney Allows Them to Exchange the Cards for Theme Park

A woman who wanted to take her family to Disney World had to put off her trip due to the pandemic, so the grandparents purchased $10K of Disney Plus gift cards, thinking they were for the theme park. This is the update to the story.

A family from Normal, Illinois made a blunder when the grandparents thought they were "being smart" by buying $10,000 worth of Disney plus gift cards ahead of time thinking they were good to fund a trip to Disney World.

It wasn't until the grandparents were trying to pay for the trip to the theme park online that they realized their big mistake.

41-year-old Andie Coston shared about the mishap on TikTok recently and her original video was viewed over 4 million times, giving her temporary viral video fame.

In the text overlay in the original video, it read:

"To save some money, my parents bought 10k of Disney gift cards to purchase our tickets and restaurant reservations." -Andie Coston, Disney park enthusiast

After it happened, she said:

"We were all befuddled and baffled at what had happened...The absurdity was funny but then the realization that we may not actually make it to Disney was sad ... This has always been the one big trip that I can take my kids on." -Andie Coston, Disney park enthusiast

Coston Family Realizes They Have $10K in Disney Plus Gift Cards

USA Today reported that Andie Coston's parents thought they had bought $10K in gift cards to the magical theme park in Florida from Sam's Club. When the family discovered they had accidentally purchased gift cards for the Disney Plus streaming service, they first reached out to Sam's Club and also to Disney.

Here's the update to her story.

Update: Disney Works to Make it Right

Andy Coston posted an update on her situation to TikTok on Thursday.

In the video, she said:

"Good morning everybody. I just wanted to provide um some updates, some clarifications, uh number one...yes, Disney has contacted us. They contacted my parents Monday evening and they have been working on rectifying the situation ever since. It is a slow-going process.
My parents are having to take photos of every single one of the gift cards and email it to this poor guy named Joey in California. Joey, you have my deepest condolences and sympathies, and then Joey has to do his thing and then transfer them onto like regular like Disney Parks gift cards, so they've been working on that slowly cause you can only send so many pictures per email, right?" -Andie Coston, Disney park enthusiast

Sam's Club did reach out to them, but could not refund the cards.

Andie explains in her update video that her parents had scratched off all of the codes on the back of the gift cards, trying to enter them into the Disney Park website, but they didn't accept them at the Disney Park website, and the cards could not be returned to Sam's after the codes had been used.

Andie's video update can be seen on TikTok.

Update: The Coston Family Went to Disney World

The Coston family was still able to take their dream vacation to Disney World and has posted about it on TikTok.

The photo below was posted on Tuesday, 27 December of her family at Disney World.

Andie wrote the following message in the description on TikTok, sharing that some of the internet fame was not all positive.

It read:

"When I was a teen, I wanted to be famous so badly. I graduated high school and joked that one day I'd be a cast member on SNL. It was really a pipe dream I never pursued because my skin isn't thick enough to handle the feedback.
This past week has felt like a month. When I woke up and saw my TikTok had hit 500k and then over the next 7 days watched it hit 4 million, I was aghast. I'm not made for fame, but better in my Therapist chair.
I've had to engage my support system and work hard to try to embrace this BANANAS experience while facing online trolling, criticism, hate, and sheer disregard for the value of human worth. So I stayed MOSTLY out of the comments." -Andie Coston, Disney park enthusiast

Thankfully, her family was still able to travel to Disney World and enjoy the theme park.

Thoughts

Now it's time for the reader to share your thoughts on this story.

  • Have you ever made a mishap and purchased the wrong kind of gift or gift card for someone?
  • How would you feel if you accidentally purchased Disney+ gift cards instead of Disney theme park gift cards?
  • Are you surprised that Disney was willing to switch out her Disney Plus gift cards for Disney Parks gift cards?

Polygamous Marriage Decriminalized as TLC Television Documents Reality Shows in Utah

When you think of polygamous marriage, many people often first think of Mormons living in small rural towns in Utah. That is because in some of these communities, polygamous marriage is accepted and is a normal way of life.

Do you believe that polygamy is morally okay?

Polygamous Marriage Documented in TLC Television Shows 'Sister Wives' & 'My Five Wives'

Brown Family of the TLC show 'Sister Wives'

The TLC show, Sister Wives, is a prime example of a polygamous marriage in the state of Utah. Sister Wives is a show that openly documents a polygamous marriage between one man - Kody Brown - and his four wives. But the Brown family had to flee Utah because polygamous marriage is against the law in Utah, because of the state's polygamy law.

U.S. District Court Judge Rules Utah Polygamy Law is Unconstitutional

Families that practice polygamy, as seen on the show, Sister Wives, are no longer allowed to be prosecuted as criminals in Utah. This comes as a relief to the Brown family resulting from U.S. District Court Judge Clark Waddoups ruling that Utah's polygamy law is unconstitutional. U.S. District Court Judge Clark Waddoups said that Utah's polygamy law is a violation of the First Amendment.

The Brown family filed their lawsuit in July 2011 against Utah's polygamy law, but didn't leave Utah until 2012. Utah's polygamy law is stricter than in the other 49 U.S. states.

Below are three comments from users regarding the U.S. District Court ruling on Utah's polygamy law:

'My Five Wives' on TLC

TLC also runs a show called 'My Five Wives' about another polygamous marriage originating from northern Utah. My Five Wives is about head of household, Brady Williams, and his five wives. In My Five Wives, the show attempts to accurately demonstrate that there should be equality for all, and that the Williams family loves God, and that a polygamous marriage can show that. On the TLC show website, it says that the Williams family wants "to emphasize that their choice to be together is more about mutual love and committment than it is about religion."

What do you think? Is it really showing love by marrying multiple wives, or is it really being selfish?

We know what God thinks. In the Bible, those that had multiple wives were sinning against God, including King David and King Solomon.
