Popeyes' New Collaboration with Hot Ones

I was very excited to receive an email today from Popeyes announcing their collaboration with the Hot Ones brand. This is exciting because when Panda Express incorporates Hot Ones with their chicken, it is so delicious, and I can't get enough. Panda Express has featured Hot Ones on its menu at least twice, and it is always a fan favorite, so I am very excited for Hot Ones to be coming to Popeyes.

Popeyes Employee Tells Customer at Drive-Thru: "All We Have Are Breasts, Wings, and Thighs" | He Drives Away Laughing

A man pulls up to the drive-thru at a Montgomery Popeyes location to order and an employee comes on the speaker and says, "All we have is breasts, wings, and thighs." When he orders a "number one," the employee suddenly remembers that they are "out of sandwiches too." So then what do you have? 😂

In September 2023, a man pulled up to a Montgomery Popeyes drive-thru at night and got a quick run down by an employee of everything they were out of.

This is what happens when Popeyes runs out of food but keeps the drive-thru going. It's a classic tale that you might laugh at as long as someone else is telling the story.

Customer Leaves Popeyes Drive-Thru Laughing

Kayree Ali from Atlanta posted a video on TikTok on 30 August 2023 showing the drive-thru at "Popeyes East Chase Montgomery Alabama" which would be the location at 9036 Eastchase Parkway in Montgomery.

The video starts with Kayree waiting at the drive-thru for someone to take his order.

A Popeyes employee gets on the speaker and gives a quick rundown on what they are out of.

He said:

"How you doin' now, all we have is breasts, wings, and thighs. We have no sweet and spicy or no ghost wings. We only takin' card, and no add-ons at the window." -Popeye's drive-thru employee

Kayree says, "Can I get the number one?"

The Popeyes employee replies, "Oh, I'm sorry, we out of sandwiches too."

Kayree laughs and the Popeye's employee is also heard laughing on the drive-thru speaker.

Kayree says, "[Expletive] alright, thank you, bro," and drives away laughing.

Some people might have gotten angry at the thought that they would not be able to get their Popeyes fix, but this man laughs it off, which shows he is a good sport, even though the caption on his video says, "Bruh just close the store."

The TikTok video can be seen below.

Yahoo! Life writer Bailey Fink reported that Popeye's new "sweet and spicy wings" are getting rave reviews. They are tossed in a chili, garlic, and ginger blend "that brings a mild heat, plus a hint of sweetness in every bite." Fink wonders if Popeye's will decide to keep the new sweet and spicy wings on the menu due to their growing popularity.

Have you tried them?

Comments to the Video

One person in the comments compared this Popeyes location to a McDonald's that uses the excuse that their "ice cream machine is down."

A user named 'Joe' shared, "My Popeyes gets pissed off if I try n order more than 2 things."

A user named 'Tricey' wrote, "Welcome to Popeyes, we out of chicken." She was joking.

Another user, 'Eman' says, "At least they got chicken. I went to Popeyes one night and they said the only thing they had left was biscuits."

A user named 'Coda' wrote in the comments, "Last time I went to Popeyes they were out of EVERYTHING *and* their soda fountain didn't work...AT 2PM."

Thoughts

Questions for the reader:

  • Have you ever pulled up to a drive-thru window and they were out of many things? What did you do?
  • Should Popeyes just close the store until they can get fully restocked on essential menu items?

Please like and share this article on social media about this story, because no one wants to be in this situation when you have a craving for Popeyes.

Walmart Plus Member in New York Buys Chicken Breasts That are 'Stringy' & 'Like Twizzlers'. He Tries to Get a Refund Without the Chicken.

A New York man buys a $13 package of chicken during a shopping trip to Walmart. He takes it home and finds it to be "stringy and disgusting." He refers to it as "lab-grown chicken." He throws the chicken away at home and goes back to Walmart with his actual receipt and the digital receipt on his Walmart Plus account. Walmart refuses to give him a refund without the actual chicken or package.

Chet, a Walmart Plus member, buys some chicken that is very stringy when he tries to prepare it at home, and asks if it is "lab-grown." He is unsatisfied with the product, so he goes to Walmart to get a refund with just the physical and digital receipt on his phone.

He documents his experience purchasing chicken breasts from the Glenmont Walmart located at 311 Route 9W in several TikTok videos.

Chet Buys "Stringy" Chicken Breasts from Walmart

Chet posts his first video on 16 July 2023, stating "Wal-Mart Lab Grown Chicken" in the video description and in the caption of his video.

After he opens it up to prepare it for grilling, he said:

"Why does it look so stringy? So I go to try and trim it off a little bit and...let me just show you. Look how stringy this chicken is. Maybe it looks normal to you, but it's like Twizzlers. I was peeling apart like string by string by string. Look at this." -Chet, Walmart plus customer

The picture below shows the shot from his video.

He continued:

"What is Walmart up to? Is that lab grown chicken? You can peel off every single piece of chicken like a line. Ya see it? Now I don't know if there's some butcher out there that can tell me what's goin' on, but all I know is that I'm not eating this crap. That's crazy, I'm getting my money back." -Chet, Walmart plus customer

The Daily Dot reported that this phenomenon in the chicken is likely "spaghetti meat" as a result of trying to grow chickens bigger, faster.

His first video can be seen at the link.

Chet Tries to Get a Refund, But Walmart Denies Refund Without Chicken

Chet posted another video on 17 July 2023 but Walmart will not give him a refund based on just a receipt and his digital receipt, regardless of his Walmart plus membership because he did not bring the chicken and the packaging with him.

He says in the video he spends "over $500 a month" at this Walmart.

His follow-up video can be seen at the link.
