For those on Ruby Tuesday's SoConnected email list received an email (seen in the picture below) stating: "BOGO Steaks for $5"

Each email subscriber can then click the "Claim Your Code" button and then get a unique code, allowing them to redeem this special deal at a Ruby Tuesday restaurant. The coupon provided is printable, or you can show the coupon to your server from your phone so they can get the unique code.

This offer ends on May 3rd, 2026.

Fans of the Flyers have their own Rage Room

Philadelphia Flyers NHL club have opened the "Disassembly Room," also better known to many as a rage room at the Wells Fargo Center. The Wells Fargo Center also is home to the Philadelphia 76ers NBA team. The rage room is for fans to let out their "rage" and destroy items in the room, which include dishes, TVs, bottles, drinking glasses, and a fishbowl. The room is designed for someone that has a need to break something to let it all out and vent their frustrations with a hockey stick or a baseball bat.

A Philadephia Flyers executive - Valerie Camillo - believes this is a harmless way for fans to have fun at the venue.

The cost is $35 a person to go solo in the rage room, or $60 for two people at once. The room is hidden from a hidden bookcase in the library wall. Those participating must wear safety gear, such as a jumpsuit, a helmet and safety goggles.

"Safe House" in Philadelphia to be a "Safe Injection Site" for Illicit Drug Use

One judge in Philadelphia has ruled that Safehouse - a medically supervised location for drug use - does not violate the federal law. This ruling took place in the case United States v. Safehouse. The reasoning is that safehouses work in Canada to help people overcome drug addiction.

The Safehouse website claims that it is "a public health approach to overdose prevention in Philadelphia."

The Safehouse program would be located in the Kensington neighborhood in the Lower Northeast section of Philadelphia and North Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Inquirer named Kensington the "center of Philly's opioid crisis" in January 2018.

Dallas Safari Club Holds Permit Auction to Hunt and Kill Wild Black Rhinoceros

Is it okay to hunt and kill a Black Rhinoceros? 

Some people feel that this is the message being sent by the Dallas Safari Club - which held an auction for permit to hunt down and kill a Black Rhinoceros down in the wild. The permit auction was on Saturday, January 11, 2014, granting the winner exlcusive permission to hunt a specific Black Rhinoceros in Namibia, Africa. The Black Rhinoceros being hunted and killed is past his prime, and threatening other wildlife in the area, according the Executive Director of the Dallas Safari Club.

Both the Humane Society and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) have publicly spoke out against the Dallas Safari Club permit auction, which is essentially endorsing the killing of an endangered animal in the wild.

Is the Dallas Safari Club Sending the Wrong Message to Conservationists?

The North American regional director of the IFAW, Jeffrey Flocken, says: "The auction is telling the world that an American is will pay anything to kill their species...that is, in fact, making a spectacle of killing an endangered species."

The Dallas Safari Club has opened the permit auction up to anyone in the world, and will grant the permit to the highest bidder. The last time this type of auction was held, the winning bid was $223,000.00 USD.

The winning bid on Jan. 11, 2014 was $350,000.00 USD.

Some Dallas Safari Club member have even received death threats in protest of the auction, which have been reported to the F.B.I. for investigation.

Does it Matter That the Black Rhinoceros is on the Endangered Species List?

The Executive Director of the Dallas Safari Club assures everyone that the money collected from the auction is being used to protect the Black Rhinoceros in the wild, despite the fact that his auction is granting a permit to kill one of an endangered species. He said the animal was "likely to be targeted anyway, because it was becoming aggressive and threatening other wildlife."

Despite his reassurance, there are many people that are outraged that the Dallas Safari Club is granting a permit to hunt and kill an animal considered to be an endangered species.

How Many Rhinoceros are Left in the Wild?

It is estimated that about 4,000 Rhinoceros live in the wild today. There are about 1,800 in Namibia, Africa today. The main reason for their dwindling numbers is loss of habitat, and the other reason is illegal poaching for their ivory tusks.

Opie Dies on FX Show Sons of Anarchy, Johnnie Lewis Found Dead in Real Life

Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy on the FX channel has already started with a bang. Spoilers coming.

Harry "Opie" Winston, played by Ryan Hurst has been killed off.

For those not familiar with the show, Sons of Anarchy is a drama with dark humor, that follows a motorcycle club through their up's and down's of the unorthodox lifestyle. The related acronym SAMCRO stands for "Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original Charter"

Opie was a major character in the show, and his death may have come as a shock to many of the show's followers.

Opie's Death on Sons of Anarchy

In the episode titled, "Laying Pipe," the drug kingpin Damon Pope wants have of the Sons of Anarchy's monthly earnings. In exchange Damon Pope goes easy on the Sons, but only after of the brothers in prison dies. The choices are between Jax, Tig, Opie, and Chibs.

In an effort to save the Sons motorcycle club, Jax is ready to step forward as the leader of the gang, but Opie gets in the way of his noble effort, and winds up dying at the hands of a prison gang.

Many fans may have not seen in coming for Opie on the show, as his wife had already died at the end of Season 1 of the show.

Some have said that Opie died honorably (mentioned in the fan reviews on the Fall 2012 blog). While other fans are extremely upset about Opie's death on the show.

Either way, Opie's death was symbolic that he died for something much bigger than his life alone. He died for the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle gang.

And in recent news, Johnnie Lewis - a Sons of Anarchy actor - died after jumping from the roof of a California home. Police suspect he was involved with beating his landlady to death, then jumping to his own death. Johnnie played Kip "Half Sack" Epps on the show in 26 episodes from 2008-2009. His body was found on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2012.
