Florida Man Caught Stealing and Reselling Trading Cards Using Taco Meat Seasoning Packet Scheme at Self-Checkout

A Florida man is caught by Target stealing thousands of dollars worth of trading cards from multiple stores using $0.99 taco seasoning packets.

Florida Man Caught Stealing in Self-Checkout Scheme Involving Taco Meat Seasoning Packets

Florida's Attorney General James Uthmeier reported that 39-year-old Keith Wallis of Pompano Beach, Florida was arrested after he allegedly engaged in an "organized retail fraud scheme" that took place in Target stores from Miami to Orlando, Florida.

Wallis was accused of 75 retail thefts at multiple Target stores between July 2025 and February 2026. 

His scheme involved grabbing large boxes of trading cards and an equal amount of 99-cent taco meat seasoning packets. At the self-checkout, Wallis would only scan the taco meat seasoning packets and then resell the stolen trading cards on eBay. His scheme generated "almost $40,000 USD in revenue" while the stolen merchandise totaled "over $10,000 USD."

Florida Man will be prosecuted to the 'Maximum Punishment' of the Law

The Attorney General's office reported that Wallis was charged with three counts of felony dealing in stolen property, felony organized retail theft, and one count of felony money laundering. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the Office of Statewide Prosecution led the investigation with help from Broward and Martin counties.

Attorney General James Uthmeier said:

"Florida has the number one economy in the nation because of our commitment to law and order. Organized retail theft drives up prices for consumers, and that is not a result we are going to tolerate. These schemes will be met with the maximum punishment allowed under the law."

The Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw made the following statement:

"This arrest sends a clear message that organized retail theft, no matter how coordinated or far-reaching, will be aggressively investigated and prosecuted."

Keith Wallis has Prior Thefts on Record 

Wallis is also being investigated for more thefts at Publix and Walmart locations in Florida. He has a history of theft, noting the example below. 

An example:

In Nov. 2025, Wallis pled guilty to petit theft that took place in Sept. 2025 at a Palm Beach Publix. He exited the Publix without paying for two steaks valued at $77. He returned to the store and stole two loaves of bread and scanned two packs of gravy in place of the bread barcodes. The store manager confronted Wallis at the self-checkout register for his prior transaction, and informed him to "return the steaks to correct the transaction and pay for the steaks."

The store manager stopped the transaction with the bread, and Wallis left the store immediately, leaving his debit card behind on the payment terminal.

Palm Beach Police Department then confronted Wallis, asking if he was at the Publix on Sept. 9, 2025.

Wallis responded: "Uh, I am going to pay for the steak, uh, yeah," and told the detective he had "no problem returning to the Publix and paying for the steaks."

In a guilty plea, he was ordered not to return to that Publix, and to pay for the steaks and the court costs.

Orlando Bloom approached Justin Bieber after Justin made a comment about Orlando's ex, Miranda Kerr. Orlando then allegedly took a swing at him outside of Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza, Spain, but did not land the punch because of Justin Bieber's entourage. Some might argue that Justin Bieber is just too squirrelly to let haters land punches.

Eyewitness Shares the Details of Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom Incident at Cipriani

The Mirror interviewed an eyewitness (Anastasia Skolkova) that said that Orlando Bloom actually took more than one swing at Justin Bieber. She sat at the table next to Orlando Bloom and Leonardo DiCaprio. When Justin Bieber came into the restaurant, he said something to upset Orlando Bloom, and that is when Orlando jumped onto a sofa to try and get at Justin Bieber. Anastasia says there were two moments when it got violent.

Leonardo DiCaprio isn't Amused by Justin Bieber

According to Anastasia, Leonardo DiCaprio was flipping out at the whole ordeal, and Lindsay Lohan was also present.

Yahoo! News shared that Leonardo DiCaprio and P. Diddy were clapping for Orlando Bloom, and Leonardo DiCaprio publicly humiliated Justin Bieber by brushing his hands at Justin Bieber. At that point, Orlando Bloom jumped over a booth and chased Justin Bieber.

Previously, at the Cannes film festival, Justin Bieber sent his entourage over to invite Leonardo DiCaprio to come and party with Justin Bieber, and Leo declined.

After the Orlando punch incident, Justin Bieber posted a picture on Instagram of Orlando Bloom crying and a picture of Miranda Kerr with a caption of a crown as the text. The Miranda Kerr picture was then quickly deleted.

NY Daily News shared that Justin Bieber has continuously been boasting to his friends and in the recording studio that he slept with Miranda Kerr while she was still married to Orlando Bloom. They supposedly hooked up after the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (New York).

More specifically, Justin Bieber has said that Miranda Kerr "made him a man." Wow. That must mean that Selena Gomez didn't mean much to him as he is on his conquest to sleep with married women.

Other celebrities, like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, P. Diddy, Jared Leto, Kate Moss, Leonardo Di Caprio, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan were also in Ibiza, Spain at the time. Justin Bieber was seen partying with Kimye Friday night (08/01/14), and made sure that Orlando Bloom was not allowed into the party. The party was for Givenchy fashion designer Riccardo Tisci.

When asked, the majority of celebrities say they side with Orlando Bloom, or say they are #TeamBloom. Many people are approaching Orlando Bloom and saying that he is their hero, after his confrontation with Justin Bieber.

Stephen Colbert asked James Franco if he was TeamBieber or TeamBloom, and he said, "TeamBloom."

Orlando Bloom Kissed Nina Dobrev at Comic Con 2014

Apparently, Orlando Bloom has moved on in his love life, but is still annoyed with Justin Bieber. Annoyed enough to confront him, and try to punch him in a public place.

U.S. Weekly shared that Orlando Bloom was seen kissing Nina Dobrev at Comic Con 2014 in San Diego, CA. Nina Dobrev is known for her role in the Vampire Diaries. She is 25, and Orlando Bloom is 37.

This was not just any kiss. Orlando Bloom and Nina Dobrev were witnessed making out for 20 minutes, and "grinding" on the dance floor.
