NFL: Did the Green Bay Packers Beat Chicago Bears with a Fluke Play?

NFL referees rule the fluke play a fair touchdown
Jarrett Boykin made an easy play on NFL Sunday for the Green Bay Packers, helping his team advance to win the NFC North division title on December 29, 2013.

What Happened in the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears NFL game?

On a 1st and 10 play, Julius Peppers of the Chicago Bears tipped opposing quarterback Aaron Rodgers throw and the ball “flopped” onto the ground. The players on the field essentially stopped playing, assuming that the play was dead. However, the referees did not blow the whistle. The players on the Green Bay bench were shouting at Jarrett Boykin to pick up the ball and run it into the end zone. After seconds of standing around, Jarrett Boykin did just that, and the NFL referees ruled it a fair touchdown. Jarrett Boykin was not even contested on the play, and it may be one of the easiest touchdowns in his career.

Was this a ‘Fluke’ Play or a Bad Call from the NFL Referees?

I would not consider this a fluke play. A fluke play would be something unintentional that happened in a team’s favor. In this particular play, the referees intentionally did not rule the play dead. It certainly was to Green Bay’s advantage that the Chicago Bears stopped playing, but the team with the faster sports IQ collectively realized that the play was still live. I would not call this a fluke play.

Sports analysts agree that the NFL referees made the right call on this play, allowing the ball to stay “live” on a sack fumble play.

Ultimately the game was won for the Green Bay Packers after quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown on a 48-yard pass to Randall Cobb. This all happened with about 38 seconds left in the game.

Quotes from Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers said this about the game: “We’re in it, that’s the most important thing…we’re just going to enjoy this week. This is a special moment. Nothing like a road victory, and especially on this stage right here.”

He also said: “There were a lot of opportunities for us to give up, and we kept believing in each other…I’m proud of these guys and thankful for the opportunity.”

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers on His Sexuality

Rumors have been swirling in the media about Aaron Rodgers sexuality:

Is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gay?

On the Jason Wilde radio show "Tuesdays With Aaron," Aaron wanted to squash any rumors that have been swirling about his sexuality. He said, "I'm just going to say I'm not gay...I really, really like women. That's all I can say about that."

Next game: The Green Bay Packers will play the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs as a No. 4 seed. This will be televised at 4:40 ET Sunday on Fox.

The Duck Dynasty Controversy Continues and Cracker Barrel Makes a Mistake

The Duck Dynasty controversy continues to make news headlines...

What is the Duck Dynasty Controversy?

The Duck Dynasty controversy refers to the media uproar after the comments made by patriarch Phil Robertson to GQ Magazine on homosexuality.

Following the comments, GLAAD boycotted the show, and A&E put Phil Robertson on indefinite suspension.

Phil Robertson said, "It's seems to me, a vagina - as a man - would be more desirable than a man's anus; that's just me." He continued, "I mean, come on dudes! That's just not logical."

"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there...bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman, and that woman and those men," said Phil Robertson to GQ Magazine.

Recent Comments from Phil Robertson

MailOnline was allowed to have one reporter into Phil's church Bible study. Phil said he would not "give or back off" on his stance on homosexuality

In his class, Phil said, "I am just reading what was written over 2,000 years ago. Those who live like this will not inherit the Kingdom. All I did was quote from the scriptures, but they just didn't know it. Whether I said it, or they read it, what's the difference? The sins are the same, humans haven't changed."

The Palins and the Robertsons

Bristol Palin Posts Her Thoughts on the Duck Dynasty Controversy on Facebook

Bristol Palin put her thoughts about the Duck Dynasty controversy on her Facebook page. She posted "Free speech is an endangered species Those 'intolerants' hatin' and taking on the 'Duck Dynasty' patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us."

"I hate how the LGBT community says its all about 'love' and 'equality'. However, if you don't agree with their lifestyle, they spread the most hate. It is so hypocritical, it makes my stomach turn."

Bristol Palin says, "If I were the Robertsons, I would take my show to another channel."

Cracker Barrel is First Major Retailer to Pull Duck Dynasty Products

Cracker Barrel was the first major retailer to pull Duck Dynasty products from their shelves in response to GLAAD's outcry over Phil's homosexuality comments. After many calls, emails, and messages on Twitter, Cracker Barrel has given in, and resumed selling Duck Dynasty products.

Cracker Barrel released a statement regarding their recent actions

"Dear Cracker Barrel Customer:
When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that's just what we've done.

You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren't shy about it.You wrote, you called and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings. You flat out told us that we were wrong.

We listened.

And, we apologize for offending you.

We respect all individuals right to express their beliefs. We certainly did not mean to have anyone think different.

We sincerely hope you continue to be part of our Cracker Barrel family."

Human Barbie Doll Valeria Lukyanova and Her Bizarre Claims

Valeria Lukyanova
Human Barbie Doll?

Model Valeria Lukyanova wants to be known as the "Human Barbie doll," only this Barbie doll is the real thing. She walks, she talks, and she shops. She would technically be classified as a human as defined in biology, but some of her beliefs are not from planet Earth. Some of her claims are just downright bizarre.

Many people simply think that she just isn't real, but she is. Valeria Lukyanova is not some model that has been photo-shopped to look like a Barbie. She really does strive to look as realistic to a human Barbie doll as possible, although she won't admit it, and actually states the opposite (as you will find out below). She makes some rather bizarre claims, and doesn't mind getting the publicity for them.

Does the Human Barbie Doll Valeria Lukyanova Promote a Bad Self Image?

Some people say that Valeria Lukyanova is the epitome of what happens when young girls get caught up in an image of what women should look like and that have unrealistic expectations of themselves throughout life.

The reality is that there is no perfect woman, and all women will have ups and downs in their life. It is a part of life. Comparing your body to a Hollywood movie star is unrealistic and is just not healthy.

The fact alone that she is capable of resembling a human Barbie doll so closely could be false hopes for some that think that such features are realistically attainable.

Artist Nickolay Lamm says: "She is so extreme that people think she's a crazy weirdo and don't look at the bigger, much more silent problem of young girls trying to achieve an impossible ideal."

Yahoo! Shine shared in their article some rather bizarre claims that Valeria Lukyanova has made, which might be part of her way of gaining publicity. HuffPost added even more weird claims to the list in this article.

Valeria Lukyanova May Look "Perfect" But Has Made Bizarre Claims

Here are some "way out there" claims by Valeria reported by Yahoo! Shine:
  • Valeria Lukyanova told V Magazine in an interview that she is a professional mountain climber and spends weeks climbing the Himalayas
  • Valeria Lukyanova told an Independent reporter: "In recent weeks, I have not been hungry at all; I'm hoping it's the final stage before I can subsist on air and light alone."
  • Valeria Lukyanova claims that she has out of body experiences. She self-describes herself as a New Age guru that has out-of-body experiences with the ability to travel to other planets and communicate with aliens "using light"
  • Valeria Lukyanova has stated that she has known her husband for 10 years. She is asked if he is human, and she says she "doesn't want to discuss that"
Here are some "way out there" claims by Valeria reported by HuffPost Weird News:
  •  Valeria Lukyanova wants to be a demigod. She said: "The aim of my life is to come to this planet to help people to realize that it is necessary to move from the role of the 'human consumer' to the role of 'human demigod'..." (this can be seen in her documentary "Space Barbie")
  • Valeria Lukyanova said that she started seeing spirits when she was 12 or 13
  • Valeria Lukyanova says she never intended to look like Barbie. She says: "Even though people call me Barbie, I never try to look like a doll. I just like everything beautiful, feminine and refined. It just so happens that dolls are based on the image of refined girls."

Valeria Lukyanova Doesn't Get Along with Human Ken Doll

One thing has been made very clear: Valeria Lukyanova is not on good terms with the "Human Ken doll," Justin Jedlica. They were featured together in a photo shoot in 2013, where they first met. He then shared the secret that she had only achieved her looks through plastic surgery. Bad move, Justin. Valeria was very upset with him for that. Justin Jedlica openly confessed to having more than 90 plastic surgery procedures to achieve his Ken-like appearace. Upon being "outed," Valeria only admitted to having one: breast implants.

Sadly, in this story, Barbie won't be marrying Ken to live in her dream Barbie house. Her home is on another planet altogether.

Valeria Lukyanova has been part of a VICE.com documentary called "Space Barbie." It can be seen here.

iPhone Error Message: "This accessory may not be supported."

third-party iPhone charging cord
iPhone USB charger

Have you received the following error message when charging your iPhone:
This accessory may not be supported.

This message has been seen by millions of iPhone owners that buy a third-party phone charger. This could include car kits for charging iPhones that are not official Apple products.
Third-party iPhone charging cords could trigger the error message in your iPhone: “This accessory may not be supported.”

Keep in mind that it has been reported that even after receiving this error message, a person can still charge their iPhone successfully.

Troubleshooting with a Third-Party iPhone Power Cord

It has also been reported that an iPhone charger saying the error message “This accessory may not be supported” may not charge your iPhone properly. In fact, it may show the lightning bolt next to your battery on your iPhone screen, but you could be losing battery life despite it showing that it is charging.
In this case, you would need to unplug the third-party iPhone charger and attempt to plug it in to actually get it to charge. This has happened as well. Simply unplugging the USB from the computer, and replugging it in can get the iPhone to start charging properly.

Should I Buy an official Apple Power Cord or a Third-party charger?

It is always best to buy brand-sponsored accessories because your success rate will be much higher. However, it is understandable that one doesn’t want to pay a lot of money for Apple accessories. Hence, the third-party iPhone USB cord.

If you buy an iPhone USB cord from a third-party, it is recommended that you do some research, and read customer reviews to see if there are any compatibility flaws with the product.

Polygamous Marriage Decriminalized as TLC Television Documents Reality Shows in Utah

When you think of polygamous marriage, many people often first think of Mormons living in small rural towns in Utah. That is because in some of these communities, polygamous marriage is accepted and is a normal way of life.

Do you believe that polygamy is morally okay?

Polygamous Marriage Documented in TLC Television Shows 'Sister Wives' & 'My Five Wives'

Sister Wives on TLC
Brown Family of the TLC show 'Sister Wives'

The TLC show, Sister Wives, is a prime example of a polygamous marriage in the state of Utah. Sister Wives is a show that openly documents a polygamous marriage between one man - Kody Brown - and his four wives. But the Brown family had to flee Utah because polygamous marriage is against the law in Utah, because of the state's polygamy law.

U.S. District Court Judge Rules Utah Polygamy Law is Unconstitutional

Families that practice polygamy, as seen on the show, Sister Wives, are no longer allowed to be prosecuted as criminals in Utah. This comes as a relief to the Brown family resulting from U.S. District Court Judge Clark Waddoups ruling that Utah's polygamy law is unconstitutional. U.S. District Court Judge Clark Waddoups said that Utah's polygamy law is a violation of the First Amendment.

The Brown family filed their lawsuit in July 2011 against Utah's polygamy law, but didn't leave Utah until 2012. Utah's polygamy law is stricter than in the other 49 U.S. states.

Below are three comments from users regarding the U.S. District Court ruling on Utah's polygamy law:

'My Five Wives' on TLC

TLC also runs a show called 'My Five Wives' about another polygamous marriage originating from northern Utah. My Five Wives is about head of household, Brady Williams, and his five wives. In My Five Wives, the show attempts to accurately demonstrate that there should be equality for all, and that the Williams family loves God, and that a polygamous marriage can show that. On the TLC show website, it says that the Williams family wants "to emphasize that their choice to be together is more about mutual love and committment than it is about religion."

What do you think? Is it really showing love by marrying multiple wives, or is it really being selfish?

We know what God thinks. In the Bible, those that had multiple wives were sinning against God, including King David and King Solomon.

XBox One Sells $2 Million, Still Beaten By Sony PS4

Xbox One console

On December 11, 2013, XBox One sales reached 2 million in the first 18 days. They have averaged 111,111 consoles sales per day.

XBox Corporate Vice President, Yusuf Mehdi says, "We continue to be humbled and overwhelmed by the positive response from our fans...We are thrilled to see sales of Xbox One on a record-setting pace, with over 2 million Xbox One consoles in homes around the world."

Director of Video Games on Amazon, John Love, shared that "during peak demand, customers were ordering the Xbox One console at over 1,000 units per minute on Amazon.com."

Senior Vice President of Merchandising at Gamestop, Bob Puzon, calls the Xbox One "one of the hottest selling products this holiday season."

Both Xbox One and PS4 Are Selling Fast

Both Microsoft and Sony sold one million units within 24 hours on sale with the Xbox One and PS4 in 2013.

As of December 3, 2013, Sony had sold 2.1 million PS4 consoles worldwide. Sony Computer Entertainment president and CEO Andrew House said the "PS4 delivered the best launch in the Playstation history."

Xbox One and PS4 Console Price Points

CNET's Nick Statt says that Microsoft will have trouble outpacing Sony's PS4 after Christmas 2013. Many analysts are in agreement that Sony PS4 has a competitive edge with a price of $399, which is $100 less than Xbox One at a price of $499. However, some speculate that Xbox One could match the PS4 sales if the Xbox One's price dropped to $399. That would be tough for Xbox to do, considering that it costs about $471 to manufacture the Xbox One console, according to this CNET article. It also points out that the PS4 manufactures for about $381. Both consoles have very slim profit margins.

Will Video Games Give Edge to Sony PS4 or Microsoft Xbox One?

Microsoft must consider that many of its 2014 game releases are multi-platform, and not exclusive to the Xbox One. The Sony PS4 could continue to pull ahead during early 2014.

The Microsoft Xbox One exclusive game Titanfall is to be released in March 2014. The Sony PS4 exclusive release around the same time is Infamous: Second Son.
