Is BBC Sherlock on Netflix or Hulu or Youtube?

Fan art of Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes

If you ask yourself the following questions:

  • Where can I watch the BBC Sherlock Season 1 episodes online?
  • Where can I watch the BBC Sherlock Season 2 episodes online?
I have the answers to your questions.

Is Sherlock (BBC) on Netflix?

Yes. Sherlock (BBC) Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix instant streaming.

Is Sherlock (BBC) on Hulu?

No. Sherlock (BBC) is not on Hulu.

Is Sherlock (BBC) on Youtube?

Youtube currently does not own the syndication rights to Sherlock (BBC), but user Jojo fever on Youtube has uploaded episode 2 from Season 1 titled: "The Blind Banker." User Jojo fever appears to be a person from the country of India, and does not own the syndication rights to Sherlock. This user appears to be violating copyright laws. Episodes like this do not stay up on Youtube for very long. They are removed when the video is reported for violating copyright laws.

Hulu only has clips related to a cartoon Sherlock Holmes and clips related to the Sherlock (BBC) movie starring Robert Downey Jr.

Of the three, Netflix is your best bet for catching up on Seasons 1 and 2 of Sherlock (BBC). Of course, this requires a paid subscription to Netflix instant streaming.

Sherlock (BBC) is a modern-day version of Sherlock Holmes, based on the stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Benedict Cumberbatch plays Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman plays his sidekick, Dr. John Watson. Actor Andrew Scott plays Moriarty in the BBC series. I think Andrew Scott plays an excellent Moriarty. His character is very believable to be a sociopath.

The show was created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss as they were on their train commute to work on the show, Doctor Who. (Read my recent post on Doctor Who).

In the BBC television version, each Sherlock episodes run about 1 hr. 30 min. each in length, and airs on local PBS television stations in the U.S. as a part of Masterpiece Mystery!

If you have seen Sherlock Seasons 1 and 2, then you might be wondering how Sherlock faked his own death. You can watch Sherlock: "How he faked his death" here.

Trivia fact:

Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman also have acting roles in The Hobbit. Benedict Cumberbatch is the voice of Smaug the dragon, and Martin Freeman plays young Bilbo Baggins.

Executive Producer Steven Moffat Respects Matt Smith's Decision

Ever since Matt Smith has been the Doctor, he has kept the show's lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, laughing with his ad lib humor which kept every day a delight on the set of the show.

Steven Moffat said this: "The Doctor can be a clown and hero - often at the same time - and Matt rose to both challenges magnificently. And even better than that, given the pressures of the extraordinary show, he is one of the nicest and hardest-working people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Whatever we threw at him - sometimes literally - his behavior was always worthy of the Doctor."

Matt Smith said that being on the show was "the most brilliant experience." He was the youngest actor to play Doctor Who to date, at a ripe young age of 30.

Many fans of the show are sad to see Matt Smith replaced by a new Doctor Who.

At the National Television Awards in 2012, Matt Smith won an award for "Most Popular Male Drama Performance."

Easy-to-Remember Fact: The very first episode of Doctor Who premiered the day after the JFK assassination.

iPhone App Review: Indestructible by Glu Games

Indestructible for iPhone
Indestructible iPhone App
Indestructible by Glu Games is a car combat iPhone game with both a single player campaign, and multiplayer features.

To play multiplayer, you must either be connected to Wi-Fi or have a network connection that is fast enough for your iPhone.

Indestructible Single Player Campaign

I have played the Single Player Campaign for Indestructible. It is a lot of fun. It is fairly easy to take on the horde, which are many weak vehicles at once. You must face computer opponents, and there are quite a few. The single player campaign starts to get hard at the point where it says that computer players are now using Tier 2 weapons. At that point, you start to really get challenged. I got to the point where I face Dozer, the bulldozer. I defeated him 1 time, and I needed to defeat him 3 times to win.

At this point, I realized that I needed a Tier 2 weapon, or a better car.

So I started playing the Multiplayer regularly to save up for a Tier 2 weapon for the default vehicle.

Indestructible Multiplayer Mode

The Multiplayer Mode for Indestructible is fun to play. Each time you play, you get both silver points and influence points. Silver allows you to save up for things like weapons and cars. Influence points allow you to move up to the next level. The next level after the default is silver, and then gold level for influence. Your Influence level simply shares if you have been playing for a while.

I managed to save up 16,000 silver and bought a Tier 2 kinetic weapon. It slightly knocks back an enemy car. I played multiplayer with this new weapon and determined that I just wasted 16,000 silver because now I have to start from the beginning to save up all over again.

Indestructible iPhone car combat game
There are four types of Multiplayer modes you can play: Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Capture the Charge.

Does This Game Keep my Attention?

The problem with Indestructible by Glu Games is that you have to save up so much silver to buy vehicles and weapons. The next car is 7,500 silver, and then there is a cadillac, and then the next two vehicles cost 25,000 silver. Once you spend your silver, then you have to start back from the beginning.

After every match it shows how much you earned. There is a small place on the screen that says "Permanently Double your XP and Silver." If you click on it, it asks if you want to pay a one time fee of $2.99 to permanently double your XP and Silver. I chose not to.

Indestructible by Glu Games is fun to play, but there is too big of a hurdle to get items and cars if you are unwilling to pay money to get gold.

I will not pay for gold, therefore my time is over for playing this game.

While it has a fun factor to it, I am not willing to pay out any money to play this iPhone car combat game

If you are like me, don't waste your time playing this game just to come to the same conclusion.

The iTunes Preview Page for this game can be viewed here.

On Arrow Season Finale Episode 'Sacrifice,' Tommy Merlyn Dies

Episode 123
Death of Tommy Merlyn on Arrow Season Finale 'Sacrifice'

In Arrow Episode 123 "Sacrifice," somebody has to die. That somebody is Tommy Merlyn, and he was a recurring character on the show.

I personally liked Tommy Merlyn and was sad to see him die, although it makes sense because I saw Colin Donnell (who plays Tommy Merlyn) in a Television commercial recently. Obviously his stint on Arrow had ended and he is looking for more work.

Oliver and Tommy
Oliver Queen and Tommy Merlyn on Arrow

Oliver Queen and Tommy Merlyn: Best Friends

I was actually shocked at the end of the Arrow Season Finale when Tommy Merlyn was stabbed through the chest with a steel rod. He was a likable character, and Oliver Queen's best friend. I was very surprised that he death was so early in the show, especially since Oliver and Tommy have an ongoing feud over Laurel.

As Season 1 comes to a close, Oliver has a meeting with Tommy Merlyn at Merlyn Global, and tells Tommy to fight for Laurel because he (Green Arrow) cannot endanger Laurel by dating her. Tommy takes his advice and goes to talk to Laurel only to find Oliver upstairs making love to her. This can be seen through an open window. This upsets Tommy because he just received the "go ahead" from Oliver, yet his buddy Ollie is shagging with his woman.

Merlyn Global Group
Oliver Queen's mom, Moira Queen holds a surprise press conference and announces that she has been involved in the conspiracy called "the Undertaking." This conspiracy involved seismic devices that Malcolm Merlyn ordered from a company to be modified so they can be turned into Earthquake catalysts. Malcolm Merlyn is going to level the Glades of Starling City so he can rebuild it. He came up with this insiduous plan after his wife was killed in the Glades, where her clinic was.

Malcolm murdered all of the employees with knowledge on the seismic devices. He does this to prevent anyone from learning of what he is planning on doing, so nobody can stop him. He did not foresee Moira Queen spilling the beans to reporters. Green Arrow goes to investigate at Merlyn Global. Diggle finds the empty crates. Malcolm Merlyn has already removed them from storage at the thought of being discovered.

He has already placed the devices in the subway underneath Starling City.

Green Arrow Fights Malcolm Merlyn

Green Arrow fights Malcolm Merlyn on rooftop
Green Arrow has a showdown with Malcolm Merlyn on the rooftop. Green Arrow manages to stab him with an arrow. Ultimately, Oliver Queen spares Malcolm Merlyn's life. Malcolm Merlyn reveals that he is a businessman and he has learned redundancy, hinting that there is more than one seismic device underground.

The east side of The Glades is spared, but the west side is leveled. Tommy and Laurel happen to be on the west side. Oliver Queen races to the offices where Laurel works. Laurel was saved by Tommy, but Tommy is lying inside the rubble. Oliver finds his best friend with a steel rod through his chest. Tommy Merlyn is dying.

The Death of Tommy Merlyn

Tommy Merlyn wants to know two things at the end of Arrow Episode 123 'Sacrifice':
  1. He wants to know if Laurel is okay
  2. He wants to know if Oliver killed his dad
When Tommy finds out his dad is still alive, he says "Good" because his death should be torture enough for all of the atrocities that his dad has committed.

Tommy Merlyn was a character that started out a selfish and rich man. His father, Malcom Merlyn cut him loose, and Tommy had to fend for himself, and get a job and be out on his own. During this time, Tommy grew and because more respectable. By Episode 123 of Arrow, he went back to his father for a job, not knowing that his dad was plotting to destroy the Glades.

I wish that Tommy Merlyn and Oliver Queen had been able to truly mend things in the show, but it ended as they were both interested in the same woman. It felt like their friendship has not been restored.

After all of this takes place, Oliver Queen realizes that he is still in love with Laurel.

Season 1 of Arrow was very good and I am looking forward to Season 2 in the Fall on the CW.

Robb Stark Killed Off in Game of Thrones Season 3 Episode 9 Red Wedding

Character Robb Stark in Game of Thrones

What happened in Game of Thrones Season 3 Finale Episode 9 ("Red Wedding")?

The Red Wedding is a pivotal episode in Game of Thrones, because of what happens to Robb Stark in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Continue reading to find out what happens to the beloved character, Robb Stark.

The screenplay for this HBO episode was based on "A Storm of Swords" (the third book by George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.

The Following Details are Graphic In Nature and contains SPOILERS for the Game of Thrones Season 3 Finale

Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode 9 (Red Wedding) is full of action and culminates with the death of Robb Stark. This was payback because Robb Stark did not marry Lord Walder Frey's daughter. Therefore, Walder Frey had all of the Starks killed. Unfortunately, Robb Stark dies, and the Westeros is in mourning for their late "King of the North".

Yes, Robb Stark dies. Most people did not see this coming so soon. Even the actor, Richard Madden got on a plane to London and cried all the way home. You could say that he was a bit sad after the events in Season 3 Episode 9: Red Wedding.

As mentioned above, Robb Stark was not the only one to die in this gory episode, as most of the Stark family (including Robb's mother) met their doom, as well as faithful Stark soldiers. Sansa is still alive under the Lannister household and Arya Stark - who was literally about to be reunited with her mother and brother in the episode.

Even U.S. News &World Report called the Red Wedding episode: "...one of the most graphic scenes in television history."

Author George R.R. Martin had a hard time writing this episode, as he revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

This episode is so pivotal and graphic, that many people had to watch it again to see everything that happened.

It is obvious that Walder Frey is not a patient man as he orchestrates the death of the Starks after Robb Stark chooses to marry Talisa instead of a daughter of Lord Walder Frey. He takes matters into his own hands to ensure Robb Stark is killed.

How does Robb Stark die in Game of Thrones?

Robb Stark and The Stark Family Falls to the Sword in Season 3 Episode 9

Robb Stark (the King of the North) is played by Richard Madden. Unfortunately, you will not be seeing any more of him, because he dies along with his pregnant wife Talisa. Catelyn Stark and the King's army also die an ugly death.

Talisa dies first, being stabbed in the stomach at the hands of Walder Frey. This is very sad to watch. Catelyn Stark then tries to stop this by grabbing Walder Frey's wife and holding a knife to her throat, to which he replies:  "I'll find another."

Everyone wants to know how Robb Stark dies. I have the answer to the question: How does Robb Stark die?

Are you ready to find out how Robb Stark dies?

How Robb Stark dies in the HBO series Game of Thrones Season 3 Episode 9?

Death of Robb Stark
The Death of Robb Stark in Game of Thrones Episode 9
In the HBO series, Robb Stark is stabbed through the heart by Roose Bolton. In the Game of ThronesEpisode 9 Season 3 Finale, Roose Bolton is not wearing a pink cloak as he stabs Robb Stark through the heart (see picture above). In the HBO series, Robb Stark's final spoken word is "mother." Later, his direwolf's head was sewn onto Robb Stark's body, indicating the direwolf was killed also.

How Does Robb Stark Die in the book, Storm of Swords?

In George R. R. Martin's book, Storm of Swords, page 583, Robb Stark dies at the hand of Roose Bolton with a sword through his chest. Roose Bolton was wearing a pink cloak in the book, which happens to be the color of the House Bolton. Roose Bolton is seen many times wearing a pink cloak.

Popular Theory that Robb Stark died Twice in the book Storm of Swords

In a theory that George R. R. Martin has not yet confirmed, there is a theory that Robb Stark actually died twice in the book, Storm of Swords. That is because in the book Storm of Swords, Robb Stark's final word is different than in the HBO series. In the HBO series, Rob Stark's final word is "mother" but in the actual book, his final words are "Grey Wind" (his direwolf), who is also killed at the Red Wedding. The theory is that Robb Stark transferred his consciousness to his direwolf in the moments before his death. His direwolf is also killed, which, if his consciousness was transferred over first by warging (see below), Robb Stark would have died twice.

Robb Stark
Robb Stark's direwolf head sewn onto his body

This ability for a character to transfer their consciousness is called "warging" and George R. R. Martin has confirmed that all of the Stark children do have the warging ability, thus making this theory very plausible.

Who dies next?

Catelyn Stark cuts the throat of the girl she is holding captive. Catelyn Stark then has to watch her eldest son die, and then she has her own throat slit.

When it comes down to it, King Robb Stark wound up much like his Father (Ned Stark) after making bad decisions on the throne. Because of his untimely death, it looks like he will not be the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

This should come as a shock to fans of the show. Many fans now see the deviousness of Walder Frey, and will be watching him very closely in future episodes.

Did you watch the Season 3 Finale of Game of Thrones?

Please share in the comments your opinion of this episode.
